    This has been a massive hit in Northern Ireland and across the UK, I seem to be the only one who finds it contrived, badly acted and very cringeworthy.

    What am I missing with this programme?

    i think the show has its funny moments, language is terrible agreed, and the acting is shocking.

    i cant understand how they couldn't find 4/5 actual Derry girls to act the parts, as there are some great talent in that city, but they go further afield to belfast and donegal.

    Some of the phrases that come out i can completly relate to one of my friends from Derry, and some of the silly facial expressions also.

    Maybe the second series will be a bit better.
