    Hi,

I read some older posts on this before joining. Is it still current advice to ignore?
Genuinely had broken down, but from looking online their appeals process is very slanted.
Can they enforce/take to court/clamp at my home etc in any way?

Generally the ticket is a request to pay the fine not a demand here in NI only police and parking warden tickets are legally enforceable.

Do not enter into any correspondence with Smart Parking, several of my relatives have had fines posted to them last year for overstays in Car Parks, they all ignored them and the followup ones and the problem just went away

Out of interest 2minutestomidnight, what did you do wrong to warrant the fine in the first place?

OP did say a breakdown, so I would assume it was an over 2 hour stay in one of their Smart Parking monitored carparks. Our largest in the North West is at Sainsbury's / Smyths Toys, Smart Parking must make a massive loss on this one every year with paper, full colour printing and postage costs as no one pays the slightest bit of attention to any correspondence recieved

Yup, breakdown- the car park was the handiest place to drag the car into. Didn't take note of any signs, not that it would have mattered anyway!
    Cheers all for advice.

I got one a year ago for parking 'creatively'. I got about 6-8 letters over a period of time. Then nothing. Just ignore and relax.
