Product of the year competition 31st Jan 18 at 2:17 AM
Please can someone advise when the Sun newspaper will be doing their usual yearly competition to win 1 of 50 products of the year 2018 goody bags. I missed the last year's competition so hoping not too miss this year one. Thanks

Having looked at this years contents, while I could make use of most of it, there is only about 20 worth of stuff that I would normally buy. (I have won in the past and the bag was quite handy).

I didn't know that you had to pay to be considered for an award

Before being reviewed by 12,000 consumers, entered products are put in front of a Jury panel of industry experts and members of the media who make sure the submissions meet innovation criteria. Products that pass this step are put into the consumer research and must pay the Finalist Fee. NB upon entry you are committed to the whole process
If the jury consider a product is good enough 3,750 has to be paid for the consumer panel to consider it, a category winner then has to pay an additional 16,000.
