Cutting Down Alcohol Thread 30th Jan 18 at 2:46 PM
    Hi Guys,

Sadly we lost our thread and I don't personally keep a private record of others AFDs so all data on the old thread is gone.

I've decided I'm going to bow out for a while as I'm actually pretty busy here in RL. And my life is about to get really hectic as I'm moving home....Also it will be hard to have challenges if data is getting lost. Sorry guys.

....It's been great...maybe I'll be back in a few months...

    Ta Ta For Now.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Huge well done to Paspatur, wow, 50 days in a row is amazing! And to fatrab for stopping after 1 pint on Sunday. Wow!

Checking in here with two more to report, 1 for yesterday as planned and 1 for today so that's 8/14 for me please Baileysonice.

13/28 for me today please, quite annoyed with myself that 1 single pint has broken my run and knocked me off track for the month. Should've been earning my 14 day smiley today

Looks like I'm on track for 29 days AF this month, possibly 30. The night out with the boys that was planned for the end of the month has been moved to Sunday 1st April, after that I'm going to try and stay AF until 30th June.
You can have results or excuses, but not both.

Hi Sie2003 and Doingitanyway! Welcome to the thread and best of luck with it all.

It's not a AFD for me, got two social occasions on but I will be dropping in anyway to keep track just for the sake of it.

Thank you for all the lovely welcomes.

I am claiming my 2nd AFD today. Telling myself there is nothing wrong with a lunchtime tipple but no intention of having one. I am off work tomorrow so I will shopping for some nice teas. Maybe I am fooling myself but I think I feel a bit 'clearer' today if that makes sense.

Anyway hope you are all having a good day

    2/15 for me thanks Bailey

Doh, just realised it isn't Bailey-so-nice (although you are) It is Baileys-on-ice.

As the sun goes down my brain is saying, 'have a glass of wine,' not going to, but this is harder than I thought it would be...
    Off to make (more) tea...

Staying off drink has been easy. Getting out of the habit hasn't been.

Morning all, 13/21 for me today please.

I went out for drinks at lunchtime yesterday (2 drinks) and to a do in the evening (2 drinks) and there was champagne at work yesterday afternoon (half a glass). Probably quite a lot for one day but I feel good this morning.

Morning! 14/28 for me today please.

Tonight may be an unexpected drink night. My boss is in the area and wants to catch up and I could do with seeing him about a few things. Won't be a messy one as both of us need to drive in the morning, but I might just tell him I'm not feeling great (not lying, dodgy stomach past few days), plus he knows I've been off the drink for a while.

I haven't made it any easier by going cold turkey on chocolate and cheese and processed food. All props gone! I think there is an element of craving the sugar in the booze and not the alcohol so much?

Two words. Dark. Chocolate. As pure as possible, in very small amounts. Hotel Chocolat Dark Tiddly Pots are ideal. Tiny buttons of 70% cocoa. They're an acquired taste to begin with but they take the craving away. Just one or two and let them melt, don't crunch them. Works for me every time
