Mummytogirls - taking the scenic route 29th Jan 18 at 8:49 PM
    Evening Diary,

Well there seems to be so many diaries being deleted at the moment I have decided to start a new one to try and preserve my history on here.

My first diary can be found here: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=2311479&page=265

So I started in March 2010 and it hasn't always been an easy route but weve managed to pay off quite a bit of our debt and we stand at £6069.37 today. We probably could have paid the debt off my now but we are enjoying our life (taking the scenic route) with our two girls (now aged 11 and 9). They are growing up too fast before my eyes, wish time would slow down a bit.

So feel free to join my ramblings... usually about my MSE ways, what I eat and the all important pegging out in the summer .

    Afternoon Diary,

Really struggling to manage to get on here at the moment! Hopefully things have calmed down a bit now and I can get on more.

I am totally not in control of things at the moment, not in terms of spending thats not been out of control or anything. Its just I have no idea of NSD's and haven't done any surveys or anything.

We had a brilliant weekend last weekend and we were just really not in the house. I have only just managed to get back on top of my ironing after all the pegging out!!

Other than not being fully in control, things are good here .

    Hope all ok xx

    Evening Diary,

Wow I did not think it was almost a month since I last posted on here! As you can tell life has carried on being hectic! I have been on a couple of times but they ran out of time and didn't get chance to post.

Thanks for everyone who's checked up on me! I do have Facebook and insta if any of my friends want to catch up on there ! Dont use fbk much though!

Work is as mental as ever and will be for the next 6 weeks until we break up for Summer.

Home is as mental as ever with the kids and their activities and then me trying to squeeze in the gym too. Still been going twice a week so thats good.

DD's haven't been 100%, DD1 was poorly with what was probably a virus which started first day of SATs! She thinks she did well which is good. She was so poorly though. Then DD2 has had 2 ear infections in less than 3 weeks . Needless to say we needed the break.
Ive been back at work this week, they've had 2 weeks off but are back on Monday.

Weve got a busy weekend with football tournaments, football presentations and dancing competitions! Monday will be here again before I know it!

Went to Mr Al's tonight and spent £74 which wasnt bad considering I spent £35 last week as the card machines were all down and I thats all the cash I had .

Thats about all! Hope all ok xx

DH and DD have gone to the tournament and I'm thinking il get DD2 out for some fresh air otherwise she will end up stir crazy. Just waiting for my washer to finish for the all important pegging out .
By the way haven't we had such a good spell of nice weather! Long may it continue... through the day, no ones got time for sweaty night times haha!!!

    Afternoon Diary,

Wow Thursday already, I just do not know where these weeks go.

DD2 is away on a residential until tomorrow and the house is very quiet without her. DD1 keeps herself to herself in her room mainly but DD2 is always around us so it does feel strange without her here. That said the peace is nice .
DD1 and I called at the local ice cream parlour for a latte and an ice cream tonight. She's been really grumpy last couple of days so she seemed much brighter when I suggested we go there.

Im booked into spinning tonight but I think I'm going to cancel. I feel so drained at the moment and I've got a busy evening tomorrow so feel like I need some down time. Haven't fully decided yet as I do feel guilty about it.

Thats about all really. Hope all ok xx

That's nice to take DD1 for icecream and latte. She's probably got something she's worried about which is making her moody (school politics or something), but it's hard to get them to confide sometimes, plus it may seem trivial to us.

DD2 will soon be home . Probably a good idea to skip spinning if you're feeling drained.

    Afternoon Diary,

    Happy Saturday all!!!

I did cancel my spinning class on Thursday and felt better yesterday morning for it.
DD2 is back, she had such a brilliant time and didn't miss home one bit! DD1 is now away at scout camp.
I don't mind that they don't miss home when they are away, I'm just so glad they are off enjoying themselves and not fretting about us.

So today I have had my eyebrows waxed. It wasn't my usual lady and this one has made them such an odd shape and they are even more mismatch than usual now . Think I'm going to have to draw them on a bit as they are really bad! First world problems

Went on to Mr Al's and spent £43 which I'm pleased with it.
DD and I then called to Mr M's for a voucher for my dad. They didn't have the one he likes so we bought him some beer and chocolate instead. Got ID'd at the till .

Were having a fakeaway chinese curry for tea so just roasting some chicken off for that. Off to meet my Dad for a drink and take his present and cards over so will have our tea after.

Think thats about all. A mostly chilled out weekend here xx
