Unbelievably my very long running diary of 5 years seems to have been deleted Not happy about this to say the least

Not sure what to do about it. Need my diary to keep me sane and on track.

Had to swiftly come up with a new title, had been meaning to start a new diary but not this way.

Anyway, in brief for those who don't know, my life changed drastically 5 years ago when my OH got Lymphoma in his brain, nearly lost his life but miraculously survived, although he has permanent brain damage and is disabled. So we lost his wage and I'm now the sole breadwinner. At its highest debt was around £5k but paid off thankfully.

I try to keep as normal a life as I can.

Still really angry my old diary has gone

Tuna has found you all xxxxx have signed up to this thread.

I missed the daily catch ups.

While in my travels this week in our town. I woke up on the floor covered in a quilt outside our old bus station. With a couple of men practicing their first aid! I tripped over a metal peg in the path and head butted the bus station window. Had MOT in Ambulance left with very sore right hand side of body and a cracking headache that lasted for a few days still niggles but.... Hope there is no cctv as I did not fall with style or grace. I can now laugh at the thought of me flying through the air! xx

    Happy Saturday folks

Tuna what a terrible thing to happen. Hope you're ok now.

Unbelievably lost another half a pound at WW. I haven't been particularly good this week, apart from all the exercise, and was expecting a gain. Also won on the raffle

Grandkids came today, the baby was a nightmare again, into everything, we looked like we'd been burgled by the time they left. DS and GF have got another house to move into - if you can remember their landlord is selling the house they're in at the moment. The new house has a fabulous big garden for the kids and is right next to the schools, just a few minutes away from where they live now. Really pleased for them.

Mr SA is still suffering with his back and is thinking about going to the doctors next week.

Have emptied out my purse tonight and added to my pot as no plans to spend tomorrow - now got £52.16 in there

Sometimes I lose track of time. I guess there are times when we can't see the woods for the trees and unless someone has walked your path its easy to feel alone but there is hope whatever happens. Just believe in your soul because really you have the power.

Sunday and end of the four week budget period so time to update finances:

Emergency Fund £2000.00 (don't expect any more to be added this month as have a lot to pay out for the dining room)

    VSP £153.08
    MSP £52.16
House £150 (more to be added tomorrow but to be paid out again the next day to plasterer, plus still waiting for electrician's bill)

Spend pot £0 (new budget starts tomorrow)
Groceries £0 (new budget starts tomorrow)

Credit card £111.50 - after being so good for 3 weeks and not using it, stalled at the last hurdle. However, have stock piled some offers which will hopefully make the next four weeks grocery bills smaller. Will chip away to get this amount down and clear the remainder on payday.

Next step meal plan for the week and have a go at writing those competencies - have now got two jobs on promotion to apply for.

Have a fab day folks, see you later

Hope MrSA's back pain gets sorted out at the doctor's next week, and it didn't take too long to clear up after your DGC visited..

Apart from that, all seems pretty positive Sun.A - well done!

I would love a PJ day. Unfortunately, when you have a dog, whatever the weather you have to go out.

Have just cleared the dining room ready for the plasterer tomorrow. The sofa will have to go in the kitchen.

    Meal plan done:

Tonight: Mustard glazed salmon with lentils

Next week's breakfasts: porridge (I'm not a big breakfast person, I don't like cereals because I don't like the taste of milk, I make my porridge with half water half skimmed milk. Sometimes I have a slice of dry toast - I don't like butter/marg. The blander the better first thing in the morning for me.)

Lunches: Curried cauliflower (4 portions to make, only at work 4 days)

    Dinners:
Monday: Uncle Ben's chilli wholegrain rice, tuna steak and steamed veg (using up a sachet of rice that's been in my cupboard forever)

Tuesday: the other half of the sachet of rice in a stuffed pepper and salad

Wednesday: Mushroom, chickpea and spinach curry, mini naan bread

Thursday: Quorn lasagne (home made from freezer) and salad

    Friday: Mediterranean cod

Snacks: fruit, WW biscuits and cottage cheese on crispbread

Exercise will be my usual walk to work and back plus 3 gym sessions at lunchtime.

Off work on Thursday for Mr SA's consultant appointment. Will probably take him for a pub lunch afterwards.

Going to be a spendy week next week as have Valentine's Day (I'll give Mr SA £10 to buy me a card and flowers and I'll get him some beer), taxi fares to hospital and probably lunch out.

Now I really must look at those competencies - not doing well, my mind has gone completely blank, can't think of any good examples.
