Unbelievably my very long running diary of 5 years seems to have been deleted Not happy about this to say the least

Not sure what to do about it. Need my diary to keep me sane and on track.

Had to swiftly come up with a new title, had been meaning to start a new diary but not this way.

Anyway, in brief for those who don't know, my life changed drastically 5 years ago when my OH got Lymphoma in his brain, nearly lost his life but miraculously survived, although he has permanent brain damage and is disabled. So we lost his wage and I'm now the sole breadwinner. At its highest debt was around 5k but paid off thankfully.

I try to keep as normal a life as I can.

Still really angry my old diary has gone

SA My late mother used to phone me at work to tell me the most insignificant things (ie the woman next door has just had a delivery from Amazon!). It didn't matter if I was in a meeting with someone. She always thought she was more important. I can see a lot similarities in their behaviour.

    Friday eve

Thanks all - Lucky I feel much better now, the situation gets me down from time to time, you know how it is xx

Felt totally humbled talking to someone at work whose wife is clear from cancer but is left with devastating side effects, makes Mr SA look like a picture of health. She has to be fed through tubes, can't even enjoy food or drink, gets infections all the time and they can't go anywhere let alone a holiday. There's always someone worse off, Mr SA is lucky compared to her.

Toni's friend - my late mum also used to phone me at work all the time. Mr SA has taken over where she left off.

I was hoping the paint I ordered from Wilko would've arrived in time for the weekend but no sign of it, not even a despatched email.

Took the cat to the vets today for her final post op check up. She's been discharged thankfully. On the plus side the check ups were included in the price so nothing to pay - just taxi fares.

Told Mr SA I'm going to Birmingham next week, all he was interested in was what time he'd get his tea!!!

Mystery man disappeared a while ago milann - shame as I had my hopes up there. We'll probably have pizza and salad, I won't be that late back. Doubt I'll get time to shop, the meeting is an all day one. However, I'm thinking about having a pre-Christmas secret day off/shopping trip to Birmingham. As I mentioned before it's not far so very doable and I can get a cheap day return if I go off peak times.

You should definitely have a secret Christmas shopping day in Birmingham, that will give you something to look forward to.

SA, Wilco online orders take ages to materialise in-store.

You definitely need your day-release trips!
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

    Woo hoo it's Friday

Met up with my work friend for a drink in the pub at lunchtime and we had a lovely natter, we haven't seen each other for a week LOL. Made a glass of wine last me an hour and a half but then I did have to go back to work

Autumn has well and truly arrived here - the leaves are falling at lightening speed, although it's forecast 30 degrees for next week! Might have to start getting out my Autumn/Winter clothes, I was hoping to cling onto summer until we go on holiday.

Only two more working weeks to holiday

It's a bit chilly here first thing in the morning and last thing at night, but not cold enough for winter clothes yet thankfully. I have got out a couple of blankets for the evenings though.

Your lunch time meet up sounds good.

How did we get back to Sunday so quickly!

Paint not here yet milann - but I had an email today to say it had been despatched - so looks like next weekend will be the painting weekend.

Been super busy most of the weekend, will be going back to work for a rest tomorrow! Yesterday we went to order the rest of the stuff for the garden (patio slabs, stones, edging bricks and some more stepping stones). This meant I had to miss WW as wouldn't have time to go to the builders merchants and meet DS and family at lunchtime.

The builders merchants is a local place and made me smile when the bloke on the counter was totting up the cost the old fashioned way with a pencil and paper. Where I live is like the land time forgot!

So 142 spent on quite a bit of stuff for the garden and will stop Mr SA hassling me as he wants to get on with it before the weather starts getting bad.

Met up with DS and family at the local park that's a bit further than the one across the road. The GKs had a great time collecting conkers.

Today I've got loads done: cleaned the whole house, done some weeding, got my autumn/winter clothes out and packed away the majority of my summer clothes, made a banana loaf, checked in online for holiday, booked the airport lounge and did my Mr M online shop.

It's been really mild here the past two days and quite windy so great drying days.

Had a look at the past week's progress towards monthly goals and looking like this:

    Extra exercise 4/12
    NSD 2/8
    AFD 4/12

Decluttering - another big bag of clothes for charity shop, I was really ruthless packing away summer stuff and have got rid of things I don't wear or like anymore.

    VSP 404.08
    Emergency fund 4000
    Debt 2180

Another 5 paid off the vet bill so now can start using my 100 square countdown. 500 to go - it's on the CC which will need to be cleared at the end of this month but I'm going to lend it myself and pay myself back.

10 more work get ups to holiday
