CTF transfer 13th Jan 18 at 12:49 PM
    Hello MSE members,

So following MSE guidance, I could locate the CTF providers for my girls. Upon contacting Scottish Friendly Society, they sent a form for the 1st child, aged 14, and soon another to follow from One Family for the 2nd child, aged 11. I am hoping to discover whether the child born in July 2003 may have been issued a second voucher as she turned seven within the small eligibility window of July 2009 and September 2010. I will post here once I establish more from her CTF provider.

Eventually, I want to transfer both CTFs to Shariah (Islamic) !!!8211; compliant JISAs. I am aware there may be exit fees or penalties involved in moving the account. Looking for some options from the children!!!8217;s mutual CTF, I am confused what the figure mean... My intention is to split the allowance between cash and stocks and shares.

Someone might suggest to take !!!8220;advice!!!8221; from an independent financial adviser (IFA) which could understandably make a difference to the investment, however, it!!!8217;s a relatively small pot of money and the fees charged by IFAs can be high, potential returns may not cover the outlay.

Does anyone know of an IFA who specialise in dealing with clients who have smaller sums to invest? Has anyone used the so-called robo-advisers ?

Any advice and guidance will be greatly appreciated.
