I am livid. Second time Iíve been wrongly stung by these cowboys, luckily this time I kept my ticket!

Letter came today for £100, all that is shows is my car driving in and out. I want to know how this shows I havenít paid... I suspect they just send these out hoping people will just pay it.

Tbh, no want to take this higher, theyíre con artists. Any advice?

same advice as always , read the NEWBIES sticky thread and appeal it as KEEPER on their website

add a note that the paid for ticket has been attached to this appeal and here is a copy

check the details on that paid for ticket , especially the VRM , because their computers check the anpr captures of the VRM with the info put in at the ticket machine , so there may be an error on the drivers part

My tickets correct and has my reg on it, I!!!8217;m not worried about the appeal. Just !!!!ed off that these cowboys have done it again. If I had cleaned out my car or put my jeans through the wash I!!!8217;d be paying up again. They!!!8217;re a scam

which is why MSE posted this 9 months ago , please read it

its an unregulated industry so you wont get anywhere complaining because there is no official body to complain to

you can complain to your local MP and ask them to support the private members bill by Sir Greg Knight next month

and complain to which MAGAZINE TOO

I you do want to make life difficult for them you could refuse to appeal and hope that they take you to court.

If/when they take you to court, go after them for harassment/invasion of privacy/unreasonable or vexatious behaviour/negligence, whatever..

It is not for everyone, but win or lose, it will cost them money.

Hi RedX, Iíve realised the mistake.

For the reg number Iíve just put in 04 (my Ďnumberí) as I can hand on heart say this is what Iíve only ever had to do in the council car parks around me.

Iíve read the newbie thread, but not sure where to go from here, none of the templates appear to suit my purpose. I want to show I have the ticket with the 04 reg on, so clearly I have paid for my car to be parked there, Iíve just entered the wrong registration number. Their ANPR records will show that clearly no car with the actual VRN 04 has parked there,

At this stage should I just submit my ticket to the ParkingEye appeals process?

You need to send in the blue text initial appeal from the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #1. You can copy your ticket (never release the original) but it!!!8217;s unlikely to sway PE as they just want your money.

So your appeal to them is likely to be rejected, then it!!!8217;s on to POPLA where you might get a fairer hearing, but it won!!!8217;t centre on incorrect completion of your VRM. Lately POPLA have been rejecting appeals based on slight VRM errors (please read some of the most recent adjudication in the POPLA Decisions sticky). You will need to find other chinks in PE!!!8217;s armour for your eventual POPLA appeal.

It may take a judge to settle this - but that is some way away, so concentrate on what needs to be done now.
We cannot provide you with a silver bullet to get you out of this. You have to be in for the long run, and need to involve yourself in research and work for you to get rid of this. It is not simple. We will help, but can't do it for you.
