    Following a failed claim to Barclaycard regarding the misselling of Egg PPI a few years ago, I received a letter from Barclaycard late last year, suggesting I could claim again under Plevin rules (which I responded to via their website with some very basic details as instructed).

    They have written to me again this week to advise that due to a high number of requests, they are unable to respond within their usual timescales and I can now refer to the Ombudsman if I wish. They have confirmed they will continue to investigate my claim.

    Should I do the referral or just let Barclaycard get on with it?

    Wait for Barclaycard. No point in slowing things down via the Ombudsman.
