    Bit of a random question! I took some sausages out of the freezer on Wednesday morning and put them into the fridge. For various reasons I don't need to cook them till Saturday. Will that be OK? Or do I need to cook them before that date?

    Do you know how many days grace were on them when you froze them? I mean, did they have, say, four days before they went over? Because I would use them that way, if they had four days grace when I froze them then I would expect them to last the same time after defrosting.

    Hope I'm not wrong!

    What are you doing with them on Saturday.
    Casserole ? If so cook the casserole and freeze it till Saturday
    make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

    I was going to do them in the slow cooker. I'll do that tomorrow and then re-heat on Saturday.
