Put savings into mortgage or savings account 10th Jan 18 at 11:26 AM
If you have 10000 would you put as much of that into paying off your mortgage as possible (22.5 years remaining on 5yr fixed term of 2.25%)? Into a savings account to accumulate interest (any advice on what type? Or sort out a lease extension (currently 97 years remaining)?

How do I go about working out which option will get me the best value? Thankyou in advance!

What is the interst rate on your mortgage?

If you pay down the mortgage, does it allow you to draw the money back out (or take a payment holiday) later?

How much can you earn in a savings/current account?
