Missing National Insurance payments 8th Jan 18 at 9:52 PM
Hi I am trying to find advice about this. HMRC list 3 years as no payments for NICs in late 80s early 90s. I was a mature student at the time but I was working every weekend for two years on Friday evenings and all day Saturday plus extra at Easter and Christmas etc. I am sure I was earning enough to pay NICs but didn't pay income tax. Of course I have no payslips. Do I contact the company and see if they have a record even though it is over 25 years ago? I need 35 years for a full pension and have 31 so two more years would be very helpful.

Have a look at the chart on page 6 and check your situation.
