    On nationwides website they have a few calculators, one being a affordability calculator, was this put a mark against my credit score?

    Don't think so. Calculators normally don't show.

    Nope. Only if you continue to get an AIP but it would provide text which require your acceptance of checks. A calculator has basic info such as income, expenditure - there's nothing about you insofar as personal details to determine who specifically is entering the information to check against.
