I spoke to Apple and I can't access the ipad as it mysteriously locked itself saying the owner had used "find my phone" so the device is locked and I don't have my dad's password to unlock it nor a computer that I can access my i tunes account, I haven't tried going into my local Apple store but the apple helpline said that I wouldn't be able to use it anymore hence the reason I am asking what to do with it - I kind of meant to dispose of it

You could possibly sell it for spares and repairs on ebay or similar.

But to be honest, with it being locked, everyone is just going to presume it's stolen
