    Process 6th Jan 18 at 12:30 PM
    Hello,

I wondered if anyone could confirm that this process would work.

My mother in law is selling her second property and then gifting us the money from that sale to purchase a property. Would this process the same as a normal chain? We currently live in the second property. It's the transferring of monies that I'm a little concerned about. The estate agent has said it's no problem.

    Many thanks in advance.

In what way does this question differ from your other post?

Never take legal advice from anyone other than a solicitor.

We are trying to figure out different options and the processes of those options. My previous post involved us obtaining a mortgage however we have decided against this now.

Thanks for keeping track of my previous posts though.

    Annoying!

You had lots of relevant help previously on the identical issue.

As well as MIL's income tax liability on the rent, she may have Capital Gains Tax to pay too.

Good lord I'm so sorry for upsetting you. I'm not familiar with forums and don't spend all my time on them like some.

I'm simply trying to ask people who may know the process as I've never purchased a property before.

Forgive me. I will go elsewhere.
