2nd year Car insurance!!!! I want some info!!! 4th Jan 18 at 6:55 PM
I have just got a week left until my first year insurance ends. Am not looking to re new with them (carrot) because I donít want a black box for another year. So having a 1 year NCD and I will be 20 by next week! Am gone also change my car into something like A3 1.4 TFSI 150bhp or like an A class A180 or A200, so just wondering if there are any insurance groups that would give me a cheap quote given the above??
Thank you very much for you help in advance!!!

Keep the car you currently have (I assume it is a reasonably priced and not stupidly powerful for a young inexperienced driver) and don't rule out telematics policies. If you drive well then there is nothing to fear from them and they are a way of bringing your premiums down in the early years of driving. If you drive like an idiot then obviously that won't work out, but when you have an inevitable accident because of stupid driving behaviour then your premiums will shoot up anyway.

Watch out, if you're moving to a different supplier, you may be required to pay to have the black box removed and returned to the existing supplier.

I would avoid that type of car until your 25 at your premiums settle in other wise you will pay an awful lot just with a yrs no claims. Being 20 makes little difference as in driving terms you are still inexperienced so couple that with a powerful car and you will pay for the privilege.
