    What an idiot conman

    As this one involved obtaining information from the DVLA,
    it surely must follow that if a parking company loses in
    court, they were wrong to take the motorist to court, and
    will be subject to a data breach

    We must all follow the lead of the ICO who said ...

    ICO Head of Enforcement Steve Eckersley said
    !!!8220;Unlawfully obtaining people!!!8217;s personal data is a criminal offence and the ICO will not hesitate to take action through the courts to uphold the law and protect people!!!8217;s rights.!!!8221;

    Probably best if you win in court, you send your complaint
    about the parking company to Steve Eckersley

    however in a case of wrong VRN , info gained thru lack of training/inferior camera system (or just pure greed), then YES , as the words negligence and reasonable cause cannot be used together

    simply fill the correct form in (company) , and give the correct info instead of trying to be smart https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/655572/request-by-a-company-for-information-about-a-vehicle-v888x2.pdf

    While I don’t condone a single thing that this guy did, I’m sure that many worse things are going on in PPC world every day, yet the DVLA report none of these to the ICO. It is impossible to believe that of 4.5 million tickets issued in a year, none are as bad (or worse) than this incident!

    The power of corporate world - and I’m far more of capitalist than a beardy-weirdy chin scratcher!
    We cannot provide you with a silver bullet to get you out of this. You have to be in for the long run, and need to involve yourself in research and work for you to get rid of this. It is not simple. We will help, but can't do it for you.

    Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; show him how to catch fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.
