Pre-paid fuel cards - why so dear? 2nd Jan 18 at 10:25 PM
Hi all, just got a pre-paid fuel card and the price is about 20p per litre more than my local supermarkets!

Does anyone know why they would be so expensive? I just don't get it!

    Thanks
    Frank

They are ran to make a profit? Just guessing.

But can you also use it anywhere, perhaps in remote areas / motorways where the price might be same/more expensive than the voucher price?

What is the possible benefit of using a pre-paid fuel card?

Unless it was a freebie, in which case you're quids in.

    Because you didn't buy enough.

My old firm used to buy in bulk so you didn't pay the pump prices, the number of litres just got deducted from the total bought.

When we had BP cards the one year, we were told that you could not collect points when using the card. So promotions did not apply.

Oddly they didnt say MOTO promotions did not apply, Collected hundreds of 's worth. 1 voucher with every 100L, happy to fill the twin 200L or 400L tanks

And using 90L+ a day i was there quite often.
