I've been taking it a month, it's helped dramatically with sleep and anxiety, but the pain relief I initially felt is wearing off.. Do any of you take it and what is it working/;not working for?
Many thanks to all who contribute on MSE

I've started it yesterday afternoon but I haven't felt any better as of yet but it probably is too early. I'm trying to see if it'll help with my Anxiety & Depression as it's been a tough year of events. But I've also got Carpel Tunnel Syndrome in my hands to which I've seen three doctors about and they don't want to entertain it

I did feel very relaxed and sleepy not long after taking it yesterday, but I'm not sure if that was a placebo effect mixed with the fact it was mid-afternoon and I'd worked a night shift the night before Shame my nights sleep wasn't the greatest

I've ordered some for my husband from Holland and Barrett and am hoping it helps with his aches and pains...Only problem he's wondering whether to declare it to his site foreman on the building site.

With regards to work, it's a gamble. Some employers are more understanding than others.

It is possible to challenge a positive random work/drug test - for a start many of them are inaccurate and questionable. I would suggest googling 'what are my rights if I am asked to do, or fail a drugs at work?' and other variations there of.

Saying that, I passed a random test despite having smoked cannabis in the days preceding the test.

To be honest he didn't give it long enough to give it a fair trial but short term it didn't work.

    The taste put him off.

I tried CBD oil but had a strange side effect so I stopped it and too worried to try again. I am on the pill (Cerazette) which stops my periods and took the CBD oil for 3 days sublingually and I started my period. I tried to find out if this is a side effect of CBD but got mixed responses. I really don't want this to happen again. Anyone else had this issue?

CBD can potentially interact with birth control pills, causing less of the pill to be absorbed, and therefore possibility of less effective birth control and, in your case, periods. As with everything CBD related, research on potential interactions is limited, but it is a known theoretical interaction. The only way for you to confirm it for yourself would be to try the CBD again and see if the same happens, then you'd know for sure. But worth bearing in mind, if it IS the interaction with CBD causing the periods, your pill MAY (huuuge emphasis on "MAY") not be working as effectively for birth control when taking CBD.

Thanks JDPower, I've got half term coming up so will give it a go then (so I won't have to worry about being out if it happens). Not really bothered about the pill working for birth control, I take it purely to lose my periods as I am peri-menopausal and they are all out of whack. Am single so all good there lol

I use the Vape CBD oil in my Vape Pen and it definitely helps.

This is great for when I'm at work. It doesn't have the side effects of morphine, doesn't send me to sleep, allows me to keep concentration and manage pain.

It's especially good to use on the 3rd and final day of my Fentanyl patches.

The patches don't last the full 3 days for me and so I start having withdrawal symptoms during that 3rd day which are horrible. Feeling sick, in pain, restless legs, cannot concentrate, hot/cold sweats etc

The Specialist and GP refuse to change my meds plan to allow me to change the patched every 48hrs rather than every 72.
To equate judgement and wisdom with occupation is at best . . . insulting.

    Recommendations
    Hi everyone,
Personally I would highly recommend trying CBD as a supplement. I studied chemistry at uni and reading scientific articles online it is apparent that this molecule can have significant health benefits. Some of the common benefits I have read are that CBD may help neurological disorders such as Parkinson's, Alzheimers and reduce anxiety/depression. CBD's is an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, this enables it to reduce plaque build up around the neurones in the brain amongst other biological effects. This has been attributed to reduce symptoms of Parkinson's disease.

It has also been hypothesised that CBD can have positive cardio-vascular effects and other health benefits due to its anti-inflammatory properties. However, many of these studies have been preliminary and the true effects have not been widely researched enough to confirm the hypotheses above. Despite this I would still recommend people trying good quality CBD as it doesn't come with disturbing side effects unlike other pharmaceutical drugs on the market. I would recommend taking full-spectrum CBD as this means you are receiving the isomers of CBD enabling the molecule to access the receptors it needs to do its job.

If anyone wants more information about CBD, wants copies of the scientific papers that I used to write the info above or wants recommendations for products, please direct message me on here and I will try and help.
