    Good morning everyone

Hope you're all well - it's another beautiful start to the
day here. Lovely & cool at the moment but I expect it'll
become warm, muggy/humid as the day goes on.

Can't believe the extremely high temperatures everyone's
having to deal with, not just Europe but right across the
    globe - quite scary!

Well done with finding out how to turn the water off sheils -
it did sound a tricky/fiddly job! Good old google - must
admit - I'm very fond of googling, it certainly has its uses!

Also very well done on getting the first August win! As
you say, they all add up. Was that from the instant Ribena
comp? May have to take a peek later.

Just posted the following over in the Betty thread ....

    *** URGENT APPEAL ***

It's official ... Mammal Mayhem is upon us! With 12 badgers and
over 70 hedgehogs in our care (as well as the usual squillions of
birds!), we are getting through an awful lot of puppy pads, cat
food and dog food on a daily basis. If you are able to assist with
any of those things, we would be so very grateful. Any wet cat
food (avoiding fish, if possible, please) and any wet or dry dog
food. Amazon, Tesco, Aldi ... wherever. Large puppy pads (any
brand) can be purchased via Amazon, Pets at Home, pretty much
    anywhere.

    Our delivery address is:

    Folly Wildlife Rescue
    Broadwater Forest Wildlife Hospital
    Fairview Lane, Broadwater Forest
    Tunbridge Wells,TN3 9LU

Thank you, as always, for your continued support! x

UPDATE: Various items have now been added to our wish list at
http://amzn.eu/7fDU4jN including hand-rearing bird food and
critter pens, of which we have completely run out! Anything on our
wishlist would be gratefully received. Please note that if you are an
Amazon Prime customer, you can get some good deals on wet dog
food via the Amazon Pantry. Unfortunately, we are unable to add
    these to our wish list.

Had lots more rain and looking gloomy with lots more rain forecast for next few days. Expect all our farmers will be happy though as the grass everywhere here is turning green again. My little pansy seeds are all growing in the garden too so hope the slugs etc don't eat them!
The slugs have appeared from where ever they were hiding from the sun.

We are up and organised as plumber supposed to come any time so fingers crossed as he isn't terribly good at coming when he says!

Yes the Ribena instant win Alfie. Won loads of bottles but a lot fewer 1 Amazon vouchers which I wanted. Would really like a Ticketmaster voucher from them though.

Hope everyone has a lovely day. Be lucky.

Morning everyone. Bit damp here but at least rain is off for now. Rained most of yesterday and last night. It is not cold though but comfortable. Hope everyone is doing well. Have not been comping for a few days but back in the swing today. Be lucky folks.

Morning folks. Bit dull and damp again here but hopefully it will clear later. Hoping for some sunshine over the weekend. DIL and GK's are off to York today for the weekend. Have given them a list of places to see as they have never been there before. So hopefully they can pack it all in and enjoy it. Hope everyone is well this morning ((((((hugs))))) for those that are not.

    Good morning everyone

I hope you're all ok on this glorious Friday! It's yet another
beautiful start to the day here but will become fairly hot
as the day goes by. I love the sunshine but definitely
not keen on the humidity & muggy feel!

The weather is set to stay like this over the weekend and
    well into next week.

Certainly not as warm as parts of Europe though, with some
temperatures up in the v. high 40's!! Phew!

I'm sure your DIL & GKs will have a brilliant time in York
rose - it's a such an interesting place to visit!

Had a quick go on the Ribena comp yesterday sheils and
    won ......... zilch!

Nearly forgot - does anyone fancy taking part in
    'Sweatember'?

    Morning,

Misty and cloudy here but sun supposed to come out - at 5pm!
Hoping the weather will be better at DS2's tomorrow for his gfs party. Looks like it will be dry but sun not coming out until late there either.
Poor DS3 says he hasn't seen the sun since he got his holidays.
His pals and him have booked 2 nights in a lodge at Oban for the following weekend and it doesn't look great for then either. We will be heading for Blackpool then and it looks ok at moment.

Yes, York is great fun rose. My favourite was always the Yorvik centre but I know there is a chocolate attraction there now too. Last time we went we followed the cat trail to find all the cat figures on the buildings - would have been more fun with kids but we enjoyed it!

Enjoy your sunshine Alfie (so jealous)

Hope you aren't working too hard indie.

    Good luck all.

Morning, work was cancelled today, so have another day off. Don't really mind as always try and book 3 shifts so if one is cancelled i still have 2 and can cope with the pay for that. It's warm and sunny here, had a really muggy night and it was hard to sleep but going to be warmer tonight. I won 1 amazon voucher on the Ribena comp earlier.Don't give up Alfie it's worth having a few goes.Hope you all have a lucky day.

I'm off out early this morning to visit my local supermarket &

    Good morning everyone

Hope you're all well. It's still bone dry & extremely muggy
down my way, may have to take myself off
to the local supermarket again & lurk around the chiller
    cabinets to cool off!

My garden plants are just about coping, with a little help

Had a nice visit to DS2 and Gf and met lots of GFs family.
Thanks for the sunshine Alfie but it didn't really last so just as well they
had a double gazebo in the garden! Hope you are managing to keep cool.

We are back home now as DD is working at 4.30pm.
The sun is shining now but doubt it will last. Will try and get washing hung out soon anyway.

    Good morning everyone

It sounds as if you had a wonderful time yesterday
sheils. Know what you mean about gazebos - always
very handy in the garden for family/friends get-togethers
(at this time of year), especially when the weather's
    unpredictable!

Talking about the weather (just for a change ) it's
going to be another sunny/hot day here (31+) plus a
muggy night to look forward to!

Please send any spare rain down South!

Have a lovely & lucky day all and please take care
    whatever your plans.

Morning, hope you all had a good weekend. I had a busy one at work. On saturday we had a few farm animals come visit so i took the lady i was looking after down to see them. Her face lit up when she held a chick. There was a couple of micro pigs that were asleep and wouldn't move for anything or anyone.
I am off till next saturday now,so plenty of time to keep up with the
comps. We had a very warm night here and i think it's going to be another hot day.I am going to see Mama Mia 2 later this afternoon so looking forward to that.I hope you all have a lucky day.

No sunshine for here today I dont think. Just low 60s but at least we can sleep fine! Think DH meaning to cut our grass which is all green again and growing.
No rain though, so can't send any Alfie.

Enjoy your week indie.Enjoyed Mama Mia so hope to see the second one when it appears on one of the sites to rent. Don't go to cinema unless we have freebies as there isn't one handy at home and usually plenty of other things to do when we are away.

Hope everyone has a lucky day.

Morning. Just been catching up on this page. Well done to any winners. I have had a break from comping. We went on holiday to Madeira and had a wonderful time no flight delays due to wind this time. It was cooler than here when we went but did warm up.
We came back to a book win and two copies had came separately. Also won some bruit. I also had a WEM for a football shirt but they sent an email to say I had not replied, which I had so will see if it turns up. Need to thank the posters.
I have read a pile of books some not so good but one good one. Had to have the tooth out that had been causing problems weeks ago Involved stitches and light food for days but all healed now.

Great to see you are all well, Alfie, Sheils, Indie and Rose. It is really hot here again today.

It has been strange having such a long break from comping. It will be starting from scratch again.

Good luck everyone for August. Take care and big hugs for those needing one.

I think this is my week!
