    Hellooee everyone

It's a beautiful day here too fire**fly, plenty of sunshine with
    a refreshing breeze.

We also had a sprinkling of rain through the night so that
saved me having to water my tubs this morning!

Sound as if you had a lovely productive gardening start
to the day ff - beautiful displays come the summer!

I've just come in from topping up the birdie food containers
again - think they've all got a lot of beaks to feed at this
    time of year!

Great that you're not feeling so sore today rose. Hope
you have a lovely meal, whatever you decide on. I've got
a nice slice of broccoli & tomato quiche for dinner tonight,
with salad on the side plus a couple of dollops of potato
salad which is one of my favs at the mo.

Well, had better scoot and play comp catch up!

Have a lovely day all and please take care whatever your
    plans.

Been quite a nice day here today and got some more gardening done plus the washing up to date.
We had pasta for dinner followed by some stewed rhubarb and custard.
Been eating lots of rhubarb as our neighbour has started to give us some as her husband can't eat it any more. Had crumble the other night and then cold with custard and cream mixed in the next night. Just plain stewed tonight though.
Some of my prize arrived today, seperately with different carriers which isn't handy! Got 2 of them and a neighbour took the other while we are out.

Loving all the pics FF and Alfie.

Hope you cheer up soon rose. I have only got DS3 in the country just now which feels odd. It was the first year I didn't see DD on her birthday too. Won't see DS3 until a few days after his either. He usually gets his birthday off work but got his holidays to fit in with DS1 coming this year so is working it.

    Good morning everyone

Hope you're all in fine fettle today. It's yet another
glorious start to the day here, plenty of sunshine
with a lovely fresh feel in the air.

I love rhubarb sheils, however it's cooked! I can remember
Mum making rhubarb fool with stewed rhubarb as well as
    crumbles, pies etc. Scrumptious!

I've got a dental appointment this morning (only for a check-
up) so shouldn't be too traumatic!

Have a lovely and lucky day all and please take care whatever
    your plans.

Morning peeps. Mr seagull has been making a racket since 4am. So have given up trying to get back to sleep. Bit stiff and sore but otherwise ok. GK's are going to their other gran today as she is off the next three days and DIL is working today. DS is at sea now so that is him away for the next three months and maybe a little bit more. Hope I find you all well.

    Good Morning all,

Been busy getting organised for all my family decending in the next day or two. DS1 and GF should be the first arriving late afternoon. Special request for mince and tatties for dinner. They just set off from Quatar a couple of hours ago by the looks of it enroute to Edinburgh where they are hiring a car. DS's GF seems really excited at coming to see Bonnie Scotland so hope the weather won't spoil things for them!
Just got kitchen and hall floors to wash and meal to organise and I should be ready for them.
I made rhubarb fools last night. Wasn't really sure what I was doing but they tasted nice anyway. neighbour says I can get some more for my visitors.
Must get on. Not sure when I will have time to pop in but good luck to all. Hope everyone has a lovely weekend. Sun is shining away here already.

    Morning all.

Sheils hope the weather stays good for your visitors. Enjoy having all your family around.

Firefly enjoy a lazy day. It is weekend after all.

Alfie loved your pic of who is going to fill the feeder.

Rose pleased you are improving and pain is easing. If you listen to the news or read newspapers we live in very troubled times, so it is very understandable that you worry for your DS. Everyone knows our defence budget has been too drastically cut for what it is trying to do. Rose trust in their training and the knowledge and experience of their seniors. As we get older Im sure we worry more for our children.

We have been down to visit DS it was much cooler there but very pleasant. We came back yesterday afternoon and had GS here overnight. Hes here for the weekend so expect it will be a trips to our local park weather permitting.

At the end of a children s comp a counter came up with the number nearly 600,000 entries. Then I read it was for all their comps and Im not sure how many that was. Realistically there seem to be many more people entering each comp. Still hoping for some wins. Be lucky.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

    Good morning everyone

Hope you're all well. We've a mix of sun and cloud here
today perfect conditions for gardening/comping and
maybe a weeny bit of housework later on!

Yay! Lovely to hear that you received a 'grow your own
peas' packet from my linky fire**fly!

I love seagulls rose but wouldn't like to hear them making
a racket at 4.00am! The crows here are particularly
noisy and regularly steal bits n' bobs from our rubbish sacks
after they've been left out for collection. (No wheelie bins
down my way). Crows are extremely intelligent birds but so
greedy plus they leave a mess behind them too! I always
double bag my rubbish these days.

Sounds as if you're going to have a wonderful time with the
    family sheils. Enjoy. xxx

Have a brilliant weekend with your GS leanfun. I know
what you mean about competition entries these days.
I'm pretty sure the most popular comps attract literally
thousands upon thousands of entrants. Always got
fingers n' paws crossed for a win though, despite the
    odds!

Talking of comps, had best get on & catch up before I make
    a start on anything else.

Have a lovely and lucky Saturday all and please take care
    whatever your plans.

Afternoon all. Heading out the back in to the sunshine shortly to have lunch. Neighbour is making up some salad and I have some cooked chicken in the fridge for both of us. She also wanted my recipe for sweet and sour chicken. Told her cook some chicken breast and throw a jar of Uncle Bens sauce over it. She thought as I make most things from fresh I made my own sauce for it as well. I do for most things but sweet and sour I just cannot get to grips witn.

Goodness there are police and football supporters all over the place. Was wondering what all the chanting and singing was. It is more or less a local derby match today as we are playing the next town and there is great rivalry. They are both in the Scottish Premier league. They used to park the visiting supporters a few yards from where I live but we got that all stopped and they now are parked away from anyone residential so they now walk through the town with a police escort if they are a visiting team and they expect problems.

Morning peeps. Raining here this morning and it looks like it has been for a while. Neighbour wheeled me up to the pub for an hour last night. There was a fab singer on and in a couple of weeks they have a tribute night on and they have booked a looky likey soundy likey queen act and tina turner act have seen them before and they are brilliant. Was good to get out. She is going in to town this morning so she is going to bring me back a ham hough some jersey royals and a few other veg. Also going to pick me up a couple of Sunday papers when she nips over to shop this morning. Hope everyone is well. Forgot to say we won the football yesterday 3-0 and noticed they must have had the police horses out as there is horse poo intermitantly dispersed along the road. Should have took a bucket and shovel with me and stuck it on parts of gardens I have lol

I hope you're all ok on this glorious Sunday. It's a beautiful
start to the day here with plenty of sunshine.

I've just topped up birdie feeders, refreshed bird baths etc,
so that's them happy for a while.

Well done on the footie win rose! Lol at shovelling up the
horse poop! My Mum & Dad used to do the same, it
    made excellent garden manure!

Great you had a brilliant time yesterday getting out & about
with your lovely neighbour. The tribute nights run by the pub
    sounds brilliant.

Afternoon peeps. Sun is now shining here. Feel as if all I have done is eat today. Neighbour phoned me down to say hubby would pop in with papers and asked if I fabcied a roll on something from cafe as he was getting some for them to save them cooking. He came in with a morning roll with bacon, sausage and a poached egg on it and a small tub of mushrooms done in butter along with newspapers. He didn't know what to get me so he just got me what they were having lol. Also just had chicken tomato and coleslaw for lunch.
