    Good morning everyone

We had sunshine here too yesterday leanfun - from late
morning onwards (after all the rain)!

It rained again last night but it seems we'll be seeing
the sun popping in and out today. Must admit
the garden is getting rather soggy underfoot!

just found a wem from marieclaire & have
won runner up prize of £100 to spend online from this comp,

Good afternoon all, so sorry been slack coming in here. Been a busy few weeks. OH was taken into hospital last week with chest pain, he is out now waiting an MRI scan of his heart so not sure what the problem is at the moment. Meanwhile I have had a really bad back for about 3 weeks not and pain killers from Doctors don't seem to be helping so will have to go back. Lilly went in for her neautering operation on Monday and is feeling very fed up with herself at the moment.

Lovely win for you firefly, hopefully you will be able to find something nice for yourself.

What lovely posts you have been making Alfie, especially like the one about the birds.

Hope you are all doing OK and big hugs for anyone needing one.

    Afternoon all,

Thats us home. Had a lovely break and we were pretty lucky with the weather. It was lovely and sunny just when we needed it to be.

Well done on the voucher win FF. Great prize.

Alfie, no wonder you didn't know about Scotland and the unicorns. I was doing a comp once and the question was which country had an association with unicorns and neither DH nor I knew the answer was Scotland!

Hope the weather is ok to take your GS about leanfun.

Hoping you will all be well soon Sylvia.

Must get on. Have washing in machine already.

Been an ok day here - no rain but not very sunny.
We took my mum to see a specialist today and she has now been diagnosed with a mixed picture of vascular/alzheimers disease. They are starting her on tablets which will hopefully help. She has been going to see people for nearly 8 years now. It was a long stressful meeting so I feel quite tired out now. DD went with me which was good.
Managed to have a walk down town after lunch and have got all our washing done so just the dreaded ironing now. It can wait until tomorrow!
Going to do a few comps now.

I'm fairly excited - applied for the following yesterday.
Not sure if I'll be one of the lucky ones chosen, tried to
enter as quickly as possible - but got fingers & paws
    crossed!

Apply for your free trees and be part of the Queen’s
    Commonwealth Canopy!

If you're one of the first 5,000 lucky people to apply we'll send you
five saplings to plant in your garden or community.

By planting your saplings you'll be supporting the Queen's
Commonwealth Canopy, helping to create a better future for
wildlife and people. You'll also be helping the Woodland Trust to
reach its target of planting 64 million trees over the next 10 years.
Find out more and apply today http://www.woodlandtru.st/PWxag

I was also an extra proud Mum yesterday. My daughter
(Military Wives Choir member) & son-in-law (RAF pilot)
attended the opening ceremony of the International Bomber
Command Centre. The MW choir also performed at the event.
    Incredibly moving.

    The Big Bluebell Watch

The UK is home to a significant proportion of the world’s
population of bluebells. We need your help to find out where they
    are.

Be part of our most accurate bluebell survey ever.

Between now and the end of May add your sighting to our online
recording tool. Whether you’ve only got one or many, we’d love
    them to be included.

Your records will help to monitor the status of the UK’s bluebells
over time and will help us to secure the future of native bluebells
    and their woodland home.

From ancient woods to your back garden, look out for bluebells

Alfie thank you for your post just been reading the links. You must be very proud indeed. I remember following the Military Wives programme with Garith and now they have lots of them across the country.

Do hope you are successful with the trees that would be great. I was just thinking it must be blue bell time soon. We used to have a few in the garden here but they disappeared.

Well yesterday we took GS to visit DS and went for lunch at Dover Castle. Despite the mist we had a good time and all four of us made it to the top of the keep. DGS kept stopping to see DH was keeping up. We didn!!!8217;t stay long at the top as it was very cold. Lots of people there especially families. Thought of you Sheils. As we were making the best of the weather. GS slept for short while in car yesterday so is here late today DD had trouble waking him up. Another dull day here.

Hope everyone has a good day. Be lucky.
