Pay ALL your debt off by Xmas 2018 4th Dec 17 at 4:17 AM
Welcome to PART 1 OF Pay ALL Your Debt Off By Xmas 2018!

Firstly I would like to welcome all new and existing members from last years thread.

Anyone is welcome to join this challenge and it is NEVER too late. There is also no amount of money too small or too large that will stop you from joining this challenge. We have several members who will be on their debt journey for several years to come, but they are part of this thread to pay off a fixed amount of their debt as the support on here is fantastic!
So, if you think you can pay off all your debts by Christmas or have a goal to pay off a certain amount then please join in!

This challenge runs until 27th December 2018.

To help me run this thread easily, could you please all post your totals in large text and in a bold colour and post the amount you have paid off // target amount

It would also be a big help if you could also put with it your challenge number.
i.e. another 50 paid off so now the total paid off for

    #001 is 315.43/7685.67
By the way, don't worry about working out your % paid as I can do that for you!

    Afternoon all!
Some excellent news - I managed to sell my car at the end of last month so that, tied with my wages, meant I could bust some debt for May!
Managed to pay off the Barclaycard CC and the TV debt (sig updated)! All debt I now have is with people so (currently) at no interest.
Still need to keep chipping away but should mean each payday I can put aside what I was originally throwing at the CC and pay off each personal debt as I save!
Got all manner of weekend events/family celebrations/weddings etc. throughout May and June so going to keep an eye on the pennies to cover those and then get down to debt-busting!

Hope everyone else is doing well - and enjoyed the gorgeous Bank Holiday! Much support and best wishes,
    L. xx

    Morning

I realised yesterday that I could make over payments on my loan. I've been saving the 'extra payments', thinking I needed to make a final early payment.

That discovery has made me very happy cause it means I can see the damage my payments are going to be making.

So I paid the money I'd been saving off the loan yesterday. It hasn't shown up yet. I'm not sure how long that takes so I'll give the bank a call and ask. But it's all very exciting.

#9 with a 600 Payment, new total paid 5200 out of 5600 and hoping to pay the balance off by the end of the month.

It's so close and can't wait to actually start saving.

    #71

That's 3486 of 10,000 = 35%. Ideally would be at 50% for June, not sure I will be, but we can see and time will tell. Trying so hard to build this up. x

I decided to make a payment early as I was itchy waiting for the direct debit date. 150 straight to the family member, so offiacally at:

    50% 5000/10,000.

250 will still leave my account this month, but so great to know I'm half way there. I needed the feeling of hitting half way to give me a nudge.

    Right, back to studying.
