Pay ALL your debt off by Xmas 2018 4th Dec 17 at 4:17 AM
Welcome to PART 1 OF Pay ALL Your Debt Off By Xmas 2018!

Firstly I would like to welcome all new and existing members from last years thread.

Anyone is welcome to join this challenge and it is NEVER too late. There is also no amount of money too small or too large that will stop you from joining this challenge. We have several members who will be on their debt journey for several years to come, but they are part of this thread to pay off a fixed amount of their debt as the support on here is fantastic!
So, if you think you can pay off all your debts by Christmas or have a goal to pay off a certain amount then please join in!

This challenge runs until 27th December 2018.

To help me run this thread easily, could you please all post your totals in large text and in a bold colour and post the amount you have paid off // target amount

It would also be a big help if you could also put with it your challenge number.
i.e. another £50 paid off so now the total paid off for

    #001 is £315.43/£7685.67
By the way, don't worry about working out your % paid as I can do that for you!

First of all, well done to everyone - you are ALL doing so well. I haven't been on for a few weeks as I have taken on extra work in order to pay off these debts quicker.

£175 paid to the Sainsburys card, which is now cleared and will be closed. Feels like a milestone as I'm now down to just one credit card to clear - I don't want to think how many years I've been juggling multiple cc debts for.

    Hello all.
Slowing up at the moment whilst we move house and sort out our mortgage. No credit cards now but we have the 3 loans still at around £20k left. Scary to think we paid off £12k already since September and most of this has been paid since the beginning of this year. We wasted too much money but never again.
We could pay one of them off but we will need the money for solicitor's fees and stamp duty, so delayed paying this off.

Going to be tight to pay everything off by the end of the year but I signed up for this challenge and I will succeed.
    Halifax CC £0/£2490, Tesco CC £0/£3203, Sains loan £9933/£12144, Carloan1 £7492/£8241, Carloan2 £3022/£3813

#086 with my monthly check in.

I have now paid £620.86 off from my target of £1,165.00. This takes me to 53% of my target.

The biggest thing for me is that my balance is the lowest it has been for two years so I'm feeling delighted at the moment. Aiming to have it paid off by the end of July.

    APRIL Check In for #15
ETA - These have now changed - new post d/d 18/04 shows final figures for April

APR FIGURES: total paid is £2176.02 - meaning YTD total is £4436.40/ £18694.38 (23.7%) for #15

    Running update:

    (OH) VW 9580 - repay all/ Apr paid 302/ YTD Paid 1208 (12.6%)
(me) HMRC 565.40 - repay all / Apr Paid 0/ YTD paid 565.40
(OH) PO CC 3339 - repay all / Apr Paid 1785.00/ YTD paid £2439 (73%)
(me) Hlfx CC 5209.98 - repay all / Apr Paid 89.02/ YTD paid £224 (4.3%)
    Totals: 18694.38 / Mth paid £2176.02/ YTD paid 4436.40 (23.7%)

Decent amount paid to OH's CC this month. (Fleabay sales/ cashback so far of £265 ready towards next month's reduction on there) Would like to clear it in June at latest, if I can

Have also requested early settlement figure on OH's car debt too - will see if that's worth settling early (and if we can jiggle the finances around to do so!)

    Thank you

In hindsight what I should really have done rather than starting over was just add my debt on so it still showed the chunk I paid but I wouldn't even be able to work it out now...

So £25 paid to CC1 today means £25/£5821.34 for number #079
