    Saving for Christmas 2018 - 1 a day challenge 30th Nov 17 at 4:56 PM
This is the saving for Christmas 2018 - A pound a day challenge

    Back by popular demand

The Aim: To save a 1 a day from 1st December 2017 to 30th November 2018. How you save your 1 doesn't really matter, whether it be a 1 in a tin, an on-line account or anywhere else that suits you.

We will open our tins or have access to our accounts on 1st December 2018 and declare out total amounts saved

Then it's spend, spend, spend for Xmas 2018 on whatever you like.

I've had great success for the last 4 years and use a sealed tin. For 2017 I saved 2 each day instead of 1 and this really does take a lot of the stress out of Christmas, also, I have a great time counting out all my 1 coins at the end.

You soon get into the habit of putting a 1 a day away and just think this time next year you will have a healthy chunk of money towards the expense of Christmas

If you would like to join in pop your name down and I will allocate a number for you.

So come on everyone, decide on where you are going to keep your pounds and let's get saving!

Happy Savings Happy Xmas Happy New Year

    A few more for me:

I have 6 untracked purchases with TCB, it's functionality is getting steadily worse. If they all get confirmed, it will be a nice boost, though.

    Sneaking ever upwards:
    No.3: 158/600
Blackberrycurved - to get the percentage its:
Sum paid off divided by the target and multiplied by 100.
    So yours is 90 divided by 365 x 100 = 24.65 as expertly calculated by Westie983

Hi please can I be added to the list?

I have my direct debit set up to go weekly, never miss it and it's always handy at Christmas!

I've been doing this for a few years now, I don't get on mse very often but I'm still saving

Currently at 119/365 hoping to put a bit extra away this year but not sure what that figure might be at the moment.

130 each in mine and hubbys tins - takes us upto 9th April - so need to finish April before I can start may.

There is probably more in each tin as I keep putting spare coins in when I am passing
