I hope you have a lovely holiday. I agree with the others, as long as the minimums are being paid, don't worry about bashing the debt and enjoy making memories.

    Afternoon

Now I'm really back and will be back to regular posting. Will update the debt figures tomorrow.

Holiday was amazing, lots of lovely memories made although we did spend quite a bit more than usual. It was so worth it. I have booked to go back next October So that needs paying too.

    Hope everyone is well

Thank you, I am doing a lot better health wise. Over the worst of it and I think that makes everything else easier.

Smalls are all doing well. Had a fab parents evening and for once they agreed with certain areas I feel need a bit of work. Mainly youngest's speech. In comparison to most other kids her age she is quite behind although we do understand her. I think I have to keep reminding myself she didn't actually start 'babbling' words until she was nearly 3 so she will be behind her friends. She has grown so much in the last 3 months. Her confidence is growing and she's much more willing to try things. I really do think her adoring her teacher has made this happen. Such a difference to last year.

We have so much on with school running up to Xmas and I think I need here to keep me on track with a budget and things. It's so easy for smaller things to slip in when you're not keeping track.

Glad you had a good holiday, I'm also spending a bit more on memories at the moment, probably only have ten more years of holidays left with ds1 at most so need to make them count!

    Thank you

EG Xmas is being really small this year Sticking to the something they want, something they need, something to wear and something to read

Our food budget seems to have crept up to around ú50 a week and I don't know where I can cut it back We don't receive any gifted food now I've cut certain people out and we have run down the stores to the point I have no choice but to shop weekly now. We are happier though So that's what counts.

So back to the point Xmas will be small and quiet. Spent together making things/reading/watching a movie etc. Our activity a day is nearly all free things using crafty stuff they already have. I bought the girls 'want' item on Amazon using gift vouchers and I must try to get back on the surveys to get DS something. Books will probably be from the salvation army along with something to wear items.

We are having Xmas dinner just us and will just be a normal roast dinner and treats homemade things. Need to put the lists together properly.

Hi, glad you hear you sounding so positive and in control.
Channel 5 show lots of christmas movies and there's channel 74 on freeview which is an entirely christmas channel. Cheap (and probably naff) sources of festive background spirit whenever it is required.

It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

    Hi Wannabe

You sound more positive and happy which is lovely to read. It's so nice to see your updates (although I'm one to talk - I read a lot but don't post that much as I make so many typos on my phone! ).

I remember being amazed at how mamy wonderful crafty activities you fitted in with your DC in the run-up to last Christmas. They clearly have an amazing time. I have no idea how you fit it all in, but you do.
