First single bought for me by elderly next door neighbour that I had told I had been given a record player for my birthday.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kOcW9gZv68A

Unfortunately it wasn't a real one only battery operated toy one with bright orange records that played things like "Jimmy crack corn and I don't care". Didn't stop me playing Englebert though he did sound a bit odd.

First single I bought myself was one of these two not sure which came first but I still have them both.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YriPIujLtsA

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mkn1kFmUW5E

But I do remember getting their fan club address from an older cousin and writing them a letter inviting them to sunday tea and that we would have jelly.

I even watched from my bedroom window on the day believing they would turn up. How nave I was...

There are a few "quirky" courses I don't bet at - and Fakenham is one of them. It even confuses the jockeys it seems - did you see the 4.00 pm race on Saturday when the poor jockey rode his horse to finish a circuit too early?
He got a 14 day ban for that

    Hope you are well

First single I ever bought was Excerpt from a Teenage Opera aka Grocer Jack.

I was 12 and felt very grown up.

Good morning....Rather murky again....Not quite what was forecast....

Day didn't start to good...Didn't much fancy getting up this morning....So lay in I did, although, I had a dental appointment at what I thought was 9:50am.....but was in fact 9:20am.....Rushed to get there....For some unknown reason I ended up in Asda car park.....Not the dentists...

Just made it to my appointment...

Receptionist...Good morning Mr. Marmie, What can I do for you...

Marmie....I'm here for my hygienist appointment at 9:20am...

Receptionist....Well Mr. Marmie...It is really nice to see you but, you are a month too early...Your appointment is in May....

    Marmie...Oh!

Hope you have better starts to your days than I...

Ladies and gentleman, it is nearly that time of year again, where I ask you kindly to dig in your pockets, if you kindly wish to do.

I am taking part in Race for Life in Caernafon this year, as I spend a lot of time in North Wales, I thought I would try one there.

I have put my link on the charities board, and I hope I have bought it over correctly.

I thank you in advance for your generosity over the years.
