    Chip and Plum (app based)
Birmingham Midshires Internet Saver Account (can only DD in from one nominated account, open with payment by cheque only, can change the linked account after)
SAGA Telephone Easy Access Account (age 50+)
    https://www.wealthsimple.com/en-gb/ (unverified- see post #132)

    Other DD ideas:
Paypal (reported as in the process of being removed)
    Credit cards
    Charities
    Credit Unions
    Christmas Savings (not FSCS protected)
    http://www.littledebits.org

If you notice any of this information becomes incorrect or new accounts appear, PM me and I'll update this post :-).

    Post office saver
Post office saver issue 29 now available - interest 1.05.

I've just opened an account but once logged in my account shows as issue 28 with interest 1.3% ( I already have another issue 28).

yes, it appears that the new Issue is available, but what you finish up with is another Issue 28 account. expect nothing more from BOI.

    Saga Telephone savings
'Security token' received from Saga savings today- actually 2 x letters with different dates last week! (but luckily the same code!)
    Security set up.
be aware - I thought I had set up a monthly DD- seems not- it was just a one off payment in Jan so nearly missed a payment for this month (which would have lost me interest from Lloyds!)
Have set up a monthly DD- now-and reduced it to 1!!
Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

2nd BM ones opened beginning December after reading on here that multiple a/cs were allowed. Linked a/cs set to Nationwide Flexaccount again although not really necessary as no cheques required due to being existing customers. Linked a/cs subsequently changed to FlexDirect sucessfully.

BM website is not the most user friendly. You can't (apparently) simply apply for a new account when logged in, but if you start the application from the home page, and tick that you are an existing account holder, it asks you to log in from that application page. Hope you're keeping

My account was opened immediately and I was able to set up the DD from my desired linked account straight away, rather than set up from cheque book account & then change later.

Can you only have one linked account and therefore one direct debit from each account? Or can you add linked accounts to still operate eg three BoS, each with 2 DDs from two BM accounts?

At least, I suppose you could in theory change the DD every month so it pulls from B0S01 on 1st, from BoS02 on 12th and from BoS03 on 24th. However, I doubt even the most dedicated MSEer would go to those lengths. I definitely wouldn't.

It was nitwits setting up 1 DDs that played a part in sabotaging Tesco DDs.

Can each Post Office Saver Issue have a different linked bank account?

How often do they tend to update the issues?
