  • myself and my partner were happy to discover what we should be able to afford regarding buying a house, especially if we are prepared to move a half hour drive away, and depending on the deposit amount as early as the end of next year. it really was refreshing and just what i needed to spur me on to keep going.

  • having today and tomorrow off due to the snow. If I've worked it out right I'll be 1 shift down in wages, so hopefully I can get an extra shift at somepoint this month to break even.
I've started a spreadsheet for this year's finances.
Yesterday was a NSD today will be a NSD and hopefully tomorrow.
I'll need to get fuel and electric Monday. I also need to look at switching my electric to a direct debit. Like the rest of my bills.
I'm in work 4 days out of 7 this week.
We have a had a chilled day. And I haven't really done anything other than play a board game with the eldest and do Lego with the two boys. and seen to the kids and ran a bath for myself.

  • ive done a spreadsheet and worked out if i want to hit 16k saved by the end of the year how much i need to save. and to do it i need to make an extra £310 a month. i think i may be able to make around half in overtime between now and September and then once middle son is at school i think im going to try and and get some extra hours / get a second job, im really hoping to move sooner than later so the more we can save the better.

  • kept up with updating my spreadsheet :)

done some more baking tonight after work. done 3 of 4 shifts this week.

tomorrow i have off so im going to try and finish the hall, i need to get my grandmas birthday present. visit my nanna and take little one to nursery and pick him up,

struggling on what to get the youngest for her birthday , think we will try and pop into town this weekend and see if we can find something.

im still trying hard. i have had a refund for an item i returned , it was credited to my credit card which is what i originally paid off which has put my credit card in the plus, im going to wait till next week incase ive used it at any point and then ask for the money to be credited to my account and put the money in savings.

i have no additional shifts next week. so i'm not banking on any overtime this month. but on the flip side i get to spend plenty of time with the kids and get to pick my eldest up from school which is rare these days.

we are off to church again this weekend, and probably next weekend too.
we have some more items to donate to the food bank too. i really want to hit £5k before the end of April. but its not looking very likely. on the flip side at least i only have my loan to pay off now regarding debt. swings and roundabouts i suppose

  • Went to get youngests presents for her birthday today. Came in £11 under our budget in total just her cake to get now. I have killer back ache. Have a doctors appointment for Saturday morning to try and get to the bottom of a few things that's been going on recently. I'm a little worried. But trying not to think about it. Hopefully it's nothing serious.
