we have consolidated our debts as of November so will just do an update regarding extra payments and a remaining balance every few months.

Thank-you so much for your replies it's so lovely of you to take the time to leave a comment. It really helps spur me on.

So yesterday we brought dds first shoes (now she's walking) no expense as we used vouchers she had for Xmas and birthday. win win!!

I had training at work today. Long story short my employer tricked me into giving him my pension details and has said he's contacting them to say I want to opt out all because he's a tight fisted !!!!!!! who doesn't want to have to contribute. He also tried to tell me I'm not entitled I've checked with the pension company and I am entitled and I do not want to opt out. So I have the contact number for the pension regulations place and will be phoning them first thing as well as acas. The mood I am in right now I would quiet happily hand in my notice. We apparently get extra holiday entitlement because we don't get extra Pay on bank holidays or Xmas etc. This is something I'm going to contact acas about. And we don't get paid for attending manditiory training. And we are all on minimum wage. I really wonder why I'm there. Oh and we have to buy our own uniform.! Anyway it's been a stressful day and I've done another 3 hours training today unpaid. So I've ordered take out because to be blunt I'm !!!!ed off with work and I couldn't be arsed to cook tonight.

Electric check tomorrow and Easter service at school.

update ... the idiot says we get extra holiday but i have just discovered we dont ... another lie !

I'm highly considering quitting my job next summer or the year after and going to college and then uni to do nursing (currently work as a hca) . This I think would push back us buying possibly as I'm not sure I would recieve enough Finacial support to be making morgage repayments etc. I need to weigh everything up but Im at a point where I no longer want to continue to put off my dream when it comes to working .

Thank-you I'm so pleased. Now to stay on budget the rest of the month.
We have two cost trips planned This half term
Cadbury world and bristol zoo and the rest is park visits and Making use of our national trust pass it's going to be a good month. I'm excited. It's the first costly family outings we have had since we have started this journey so I feel they are much deserved. !

I'm not sure If I should focus my next few months on emergency savings now we have just under a 1/3 of our deposit saved (aiming for 16k deposit ATM). (not including moving costs , solicitor fees).

I'm definatly going to seek some Finacial advise this summer when we hit the 10k mark in our overall savings pot

my student finance has been accepted for my course at work... and thats not the best bit ... the course im doing meets the entry requirements to apply to do nursing at my local university.

we are planning to pay off my loan early. and im going to see if its going to be financially viable for me to take 3 years out of work and apply to do a nursing degree ... (which is my dream, and what i have wanted to do since i was very young) i could potentially be a qualified nurse before i turn 30. we will continue to save what we can if i take this route although it will be much smaller amounts than it is now . until im back in paid work again. but that wont be happening for around 18 months at least so for now its save save save .. and possibly see if we can get on the ladder before i look at applying for the degree (then take a longer fixed term so i would be back in paid employment of any kind before we have to reapply for a better deal when the deal has ended) (potentially looking at 5 year fixed instead of 2). although some have said we would be better off staying rented . so i need to investigate further into this.

    anyway spends for today
    15 tobbacco
    26 aldi
    30 electric
36 council tax (lower payment this month as i over-payed last year)

today we went rock climbing . we all had a go except the baby. it was a lovely day finished off with macdonalds and mr potter film

ill be selling my car before the year is out and we are going to get a just add fuel car as we need something alot bigger than my current car and this seems the most sensible solution at the moment as it will mean i can pay off my loan (with the car sale and some savings) and hopefully still have around 4k in the bank (aug/sept time) if we were to sell my car and buy something we wouldnt be able to pay off the loan and would drain our savings completely. i need something reliable (no more than 3 years old and low millage, if we were to buy used) we have found a deal, and it would still allow us to save around 1k a month once the loan is cleared. i would give us the additional space we need. (7 seater) which would hopefully mean we will be able to start our camping memories and possibly travel around Europe with the children.
either way my car is no longer big enough (eldest son is squished in the middle seat between 2 car seats) and whatever we would of decided the savings would of dropped but by 'renting/leasing' a car we will be able to pay off the loan (our last and only debt)

dispite the savings taking a small hit we may still be able to buy the end of next year or the year after if i decide to put off applying (and possibly) going to university.

if i could still get 8-10k sat in the bank by december with this plan it would be amazing !

i have our spends for today logged in my phone so will update later.

any days i dont log spends are no spend days

We are off to bristol zoo tomorrow.

For anyone who wants to visit. If you go on thier website you can get a free child ticket emailed to you with each full paying adult (booked online) . It's valid until the 15th of April although the email ticket says the 8th but they have confirmed for me via email and fb that it is valid until the 15th and it's an error which staff are aware of. Kids under 4 are free. You don't need an email ticket for them just add them into your ticket order. You don't need To purchase an online ticket for the free child you have the email ticket for. Also if you have 2 children over 4 and 2 adults paying entry as long as you use 2 different emails you can get a free ticket for each of the children.

We will be taking a picnic to save money so will only cost us 35 fot the day and fuel for the car which is already in the tank

I've dropped our savings to 4k . Made a payment of 1k to our loan. I feel okay with this as the money hasn't been wasted.

My next big payment wont be until August or September now . And that should be when I pay the loan off in full.
If I've got my calculations correct the loan balance in Sept will be around 7k. Taking in consideration the payment ive just made and deducting dd paymemts .

With the car sale money at around 5k
I'll only need 2k of savings to clear the Loan.
By then I should have around 9k saved.

That will leave 6-7k in the bank. Alot more than I originally thought.
If we can continue to hit 1k Saving aims throughout next year we will have our 16k deposit by next Christmas. Then its just emergency fund and moving costs to save. That means we could move by the end of 2020 and we will be moving with no debt! Now that would be an amazing achievement !

Thankyou lindez .. It's lovely too know people are reading my rambles..

Was a lovely day today at the zoo.
Work tomorrow morning and Wednesday evening. After a busy and exhausting few days the flat has felt a little neglected so lots of housework to catch up on this week.

I'll need to check the bank tomorrow. Need to fit in a proper food shop at somepoint this week but will go through the freezer and pantry well doing a meal plan to get some stuff used up.
All the kids are finally asleep. It's tipping it down outside. !

Early night for me tonight. I ache alot and I've finally given in and took the strongest painkillers I have (I only take them if I really have to, as a last resort really.) when I next need to see my gp I'm going to ask about being referred to the pain clinic I think. I wonder if there is anything I can do within my mental ability to help pain relief. CBT ? Possibly I don't even know of they offer CBT for pain but anything is worth a shot. My birth caused my disability and I'll die with it. But I really don't want to spend all my life relying on many different pain reliefs / killers. I just want to live a normal life. Without extreme pain. The rest of the symptoms I can cope with but the pain can be so debilitating . I wont get any better.. I cope with it all very well 99% of the time. I saw my new specialist recently and she commended me on how well I cope and my attitude towards it she went as far to say it was an honour to of met me... It's something people say alot to me. And it fills me with 'pride' if that's the right word. But yet I always just think.. I'm just me... Living my life. I'm no one special. Maybe I don't give myself enough recognition for what i have to cope with. Maybe I should be kinder to myself . Disability aside and before I had my bipolar diagnosis. When I fell pregnant with my first born at 15 even family members told me my life was over and I'd never make anything of my life. 3 years ago this year I finally got out of a DV relationship . He treated me like dirt. And I took many hits off him over the years. My mother gave me a choice when she found out I was pregnant at 15 . Have an abortion or leave. I was told I'd never have children because of my disability. And so I packed my bags if this was the only chance I was ever going to have to be a mum even if I was young I was grabbing it with Both hands. I don't have contract with my mum now and I haven't since my first born was one. I suffered emotional abuse off her growing up. And walking away from her was actually one of the best things I ever did. I moved in with my then boyfriend (baby's dad) and at the ripe old age of 17 (note the Sarcasm) and him 18 we got our own place together.
Ten years this month since I found out I was pregnant with my first baby.
Life has been a rollercoaster of ups and downs. I'm in a relationship now where Im truly happy and loved. I have 3 amazing kids a job I adore. And I'm doing the same as many others. Making steps to buy my first home .. Taking the qualifications I need to be able to apply to study nursing in the future. Marriage ?Possibly another baby in a few years? And we are going to start travelling the world with our babies in tow one day. Oh yeah and that disneyland Paris trip for our 30th !

So you see... it may of took me a little bit longer than the average (whatever the average age is) but having a child young. having a disability. Suffering abuse. Having a mental health illness. non of it has stopped me achieving as much as the next person.

There was no real reason for all this rambling.. But if you got to the end I salute You ....

And to everyone who has dreams no matter how big.... You can achieve them.. You just have to believe in yourself.. Make a plan and turn the plan into action. !
