    Hi guys quick question if anyone could help.

    If someone has been bankrupt they cant be a director and they cant work in financial circles.

    Is still the after it dropped off the records after 5-6 years?

    you can't be a director for the period of the bankruptcy, usually a year, after discharge restrictions are lifted-ditto 'working in financial circles' but that's rather vague so depending exactly what it is it might be permitted during BR, you are allowed to have a job!

    There are some professions that specifically preclude BR's even after if falls off their credit file - I believe chartered accountants, judges, police, Section 106 Officers (public sector)etc. However, not being a Director only applies during the 12mths of bankruptcy unless there is a BRO/BRU in place that restricts the BR for a defined further term.
