Capital one requesting proof of signature 7th Sep 17 at 4:51 PM
Hi, hoping someone can help. PPI enquiry with capital one brought up an account where it had been going for 2 years. Using the resolved tool, we have filed a complaint as hubby had no idea he was sold it. They have now sent a letter staying stating the details provided do not match their records and can he send a copy of his passport or driving licence as proof of signature. Is this usually requested? Thanks.

In the circumstances you give, then yes it is. They are required to ensure they are dealing with the account holder.
