Full and final offer to HMRC 6th Sep 17 at 2:45 PM
Hi my personal service company (limited liability) cannot pay the corporation tax due in the next month or so. I have been ill for sometime unable to work and only now returned to employment (as I can no longer carry out the services for my Ltd company) rather than self employment on a greatly reduced income. It has been suggested I make HMRC a full and final offer and if they they donít accept an offer then suggest you to them to advise them that the Company has no funds and if they fail to accept what you can afford to repay in settlement of the debt, then you would request that they wind up the Company, highlighting that if they fail to do so, you will assume that they would not object to it being struck off and then simply see your accountant who will help to do this. Does this seem okay ??

Hi Olly and welcome to MSE,

This is going to be a complicated situation. The HMRC are very unlikely to accept a full and final offer on corporation tax, but if the company is potentially insolvent you need more advice regardless.

I would suggest you contact Business Debtline. They specialise in business queries and are available on 0800 197 6026 Mon - Fri 9am - 8pm.

We work as money advisers for National Debtline and have specific permission from MSE to post to try to help those in debt.
