As threads are going walkabout I thought I would start the next stage of this off - I will try and do the links later!

I think also that I was a bit worried that Silver Oldie has a small family and (sorry if I'm wrong SO) these are the only relatives that she has, so she wants to keep on good terms with them.

I believe some people have moved over to a forum off MSE and haven't left a "forwarding address" to it. "The dark side" (phrase used about it) isn't exactly specific with a website address.

    I'm here!

DS1 and the littlies have been here since yesterday afternoon and just gone home. I love seeing them and having a relationship with my DS again after so long but boy are they exhausting!

I'm just having five minutes then I'll go and tidy up and pack a case, I'm off to Jersey tomorrow for a few days, hope it isn't as wet there as it is here!

I've dragged the family around looking a duvets all day. Felt so many my memory thinks they all felt the same. Still no further forward!

I was out shopping with my MIL and sisters-in-law once and we were going into a shop, and MIL said to me "You go first - Youth before Beauty!"

Well, I couldn't help myself, I said "Don't you mean pearls before swine?"
Sisters-in-law and I couldn't stop giggling. Poor MIL

Fuddle We have two single duvets on our bed. It works very well. I have a down one, and OH has a synthetic one atm. I love my down one. Light but warm. It's an "All seasons" one, where you can put both bits together with poppers if it's really cold. I've only tried that once, and found it too warm, even on a very cold night, but it gets colder where you live

Frustrating, as it's the flash drive I use for my weekly back-up (I'm paranoid about losing vital information).

With all that, plus my own extreme amounts of pain, I fear I'm not terribly good company at present, so keeping something of a low profile

I'm here and jetlagged, so it's only just past 5am and I'm awake and starving.

Duvet wise, they would have to prise my delightful feather and down duvet out of my warm dead hands

Threads do go quiet sometimes and then spring back into life. When it all goes quiet I go back to the thread index and see what new threads have been posted and might be interesting. But I usually end up back on the same threads with the same old familiar names
It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!

Just waiting to hear from DiL, see if they are visiting today.
I was hoping to have a chat to clear the air but DS is working so won't be coming.
Think I need them both as I'm sure I'll be portrayed as having imagined things or my words will be twisted so I become horrible MiL.

Dum dum dum dum di dum dum di dum.
That's the theme from Star Wars in case nobody recognised it, I've been humming it since yesterday.

    Silver oldie, I'm so sorry.

Witless, oooh you are naughty, but I like you!!!!

We are back on shore power and I already hate it, I have to keep the curtains closed unless I want to see my neighbour wandering around naked, lol.

Hey ho it's only until March.

    I'm still reading along.
Thanks to everyone for suggestions for liquidising foodstuffs

My life varies from total chaos - in which case I don't have time to post - to utterly boring and I think no one will be interested

MTSTM - the other forum isn't a secret!
    The address was posted upthread

I bookmarked it but have not got round to having a look. I think it was meant for if these threads went a bit funny again. Too much good support on here to lose to techy glitches!

Then again I am nearly equipped for the Dark Side; my Aircast Walker looks just like a Stormtrooper boot
