New diary, I have been thinking about it for a while now. I have been back almost a year give or take two weeks and boy what a year that has been, reading back over my old diary.

The title of my new diary comes from a Lucy Spraggan song, which the lyrics fit the mood at the moment.

    Reflection on the past year:
    * Current debt is now - 8500, this doesn't include the OD or the BC (yet!)
    * Changed jobs four times and looking to move again, hopefully for the last time for a while
    * Moved house - This is my favourite one
    * Year Goals when I find them again are improving
    * Got a horrible situation with DS's ex-gf sorted
    * Still trying to get my MSE head to stay on, but I'm getting there slowly

    --------------------------------------------------------------------

There are still improvements that need to be made but overall I/we are getting there. I think carefully about anything I go to buy.

I am happy that I have rediscovered the survey sites and some new ones that I hadn't done before, my overall plan for next year is to build a stash up towards Christmas and birthdays, making 2018 as frugal as I can

There are still things in the house that need sorting/unpacking/binning but it does feel like home and the kids love it and that to me is all that matters

I like trying to get the most out of 2 per day, how sad is that?

So as the song goes 'We won't abandon this ship. We are unsinkable'

I have got my car it's sooooo nice.

DH has taken it to put some diesel in it for me and to take DS for a quick drive, DD came with us to pick it up.

DD and I are then going to Sainsburys for the food shopping.

    Morning,

    • Sew DDs badges on to her camp blanket when she gets them
I made a start on this yesterday, 7 down and 14 to go.

So after the hype of my car yesterday, confession time, there was a 2k deposit for the car, which ended up on the BC. Which means that the debt has risen, but I am due a certain amount in April/May which will wipe the deposit off the card.

    Good things this week:
    • 3 NSD's
    • 3 Lunches to work days
    • Lowish food shop
    • Completed Level 1 of Flylady all week
    • Made a start on DD's badges
    • New car
    • Lower car insurance premium

    Bad things this week:
    • No AFD's
    • Deposit for car added to debt

Overall not a bad week but needs to be improved up on. The car needed changing due to current mileage so despite the deposit, we'd have been stung for far more money if it'd been left any longer.

Am I the only one that names my car? Last one was Bunty the blue car and this ones Ricky as the number plate starts RK1

Moving on to today, my list looks like this:
    • Clean kitchen
    • Finish washing
    • Sort dried washing out and put away
    • Make dinner
    • Sew more badges on to DD's blanket, leaving the awkward ones til last
    • Make lunch for tomorrow

I'm hoping to go for a walk today, I've made a pledge to myself that I will go for a walk at least once a week, weather permitting.

Right, another cuppa then on to it.

Great that the car insurance is lower it's strange what keeps us awake sometimes . Glad you like the new car . You do need a reliable one for work. Do you have it through PCP?

Hope you get through your list, what a lot of badges DD has!

    Yes on PCP

I have a habit of leaving DD's badges until the very last moment, lots of these are from before we moved, she's accumulated 6 since we moved bad she joined a new troop.

    Morning,

DH's rebate came through overnight, so this has been paid off the Cap One card, so that has reduced it to 467.97. I'm hoping to be able to cash out on PA this week, so that will come off the card too.

Aiming for a few NSD's this week and I'm going to make a proper start on the AFD's too.

Brought my lunch today, so shouldn't need to buy anything.

Spent lots on new underwear yesterday, well needed, out of my 218 budget for the year I spent 78.05 which leaves me with 139.95 of which I need to buy socks and nightwear then I'm done for the year.

    Hi,

NSD #5 and Lunch to Work #5 and AFD #1 so far, quite pleased with how things are going on that side of things so far.

No flyladying done as yet, this may be a weekend job.

Couple of surveys done on PB this morning.

Bank account checked and money transferred over from the savings to cover.
