    Hi, i've done the best I can to piece the weightloss information together - I hope it's okay for you all

    As some of you know there's been some discussion lately on how to accommodate weight loss diets on the board. It was decided that the daily isn't the place for campaigns of any sort and that there was a very good weight loss thread on the I wanna board which would offer excellent support to anyone wishing to join.

    The board guides have talked about this and we'd like to accommodate a weight loss campaign the OLD STYLE way here. However, in order for it to fit with the board, it should be about scratch cooking and healthy eating, NOT about where to get low calorie/fat ready meals cheaply or fad diets.

    So, here it is. The Lose Weight the Old Style Way thread. This thread is for support in losing weight but in order to keep it true to the board - which is about money saving the old style way, there are going to be some posting guidelines.


    Important. Please read:

    The thread should be about healthy, Old Style eating. That means recipes and meal plans, support and encouragement and healthy eating. What shouldn't be accomodated here is if the thread goes off topic and covers ready meals, fad diets and weight loss clubs. There is a good thread that covers all that on the 'I wanna' board. So if the thread becomes an extention of that, we will have to close it and ask people to join in there instead.


    Enjoy, and good luck (nb - we run 4 challenges a year, generally either 12 or 13 weeks, with a fortnight off at the end of December , so they run Jan-Mar, Apr-Jun, Jul-Sep and Oct-Dec.)

    A tiny loss of -1lb for me this week, seem to have lost momentum over the weekend.
    Dh birthday this weekend, I am planning a cinnamon cake and I!!!8217;m sure other naughty nibbles will be about, but will try to be good-ish!

    Tiny,tiny weight loss this week, taking my total to .8lb; not a lot but I'll take that!

    I'm off for a week in Devon on Saturday, so a week of lots of walking, lots of coffee and cake stops to counteract the walking, and hopefully some sun. (Bet it rains, always does when I'm on holiday )

    Anyway, I predict that I'll either lose weight, stay the same or gain some. Think that covers everything.

    Better day today with the diet. We were out for most of the day so no opportunity to look in the fridge

    L: packed lunch of salad with a couple of slices of ham, apple, pear
    D: roasted vegetables followed by fruit salad made from left over apple and pears plus a few frozen blueberries and blackberries.

    i need to go shopping tomorrow for fruit and vegetables as I've nearly run out.

    Lunch:- salad with a couple of boiled eggs, followed by sliced apple
    Dinner:- going to be roast vegetables again, possibly another egg as I've got 6 boiled ones in the fridge, followed by fruit salad and yogurt

    Good morning everyone

    It looks to be another lovely sunny day so bring on the salad . Lovely to see how many of you are doing so well including Knit Witch who has done very well indeed . I am chugging along but I forgot to weigh in this week so I will keep my fingers crossed for a good loss next Friday.

    My menu today looks like this:
    b - porridge and a banana
    l - chicken salad with new potatoes
    d - ham salad roll and my guilty secret, a handful of onion ring crisps, yum

    A few more days of this and you will find it hard to see me sideways on .
