Completion and home insurance 8th Jul 17 at 3:02 PM

I'm a 1st time buyer and I have exchanged on a house- due to complete this week.
I have been trying to find out the types of locks used on the house for insurance but no one has got back to me.

    What should I do?

Can I sort out the insurance the day I complete?

FYI My solicitor has not asked for any insurance details and the house will be mortgaged.

    Thanks in advance.

If it's a new build then the builder insures it till completion.

If it's not then you needed insurance in place at exchange
