Home Insurance.... to include leasehold garage ? 7th Jul 17 at 12:49 PM

can any one recommend insurance firms that would include a leasehold garage on the policy ?

We are currently buying a 3 bed end terrace house, which includes a leasehold garage under a coach house next door. I'm having trouble getting home insurance quotes which will included the garage.

any advise? any one with experience of this?

If you mean buildings insurance, that would usually be arranged by the freeholder of the coach house - and you probably have to pay a percentage of the premium to the freeholder.

    Check the lease for details.

As for contents insurance, contents in garages are usually covered by standard policies - read the policy before buying to make sure.
