What's irritating you VI 23rd Jun 17 at 7:20 AM
Haven't even got out of bed yet and I'm irritated.
-The badly behaved cat peed in the laundry basket so all my summer clothes have had to go back in the wash and I'll have to wear jeans today.
-I've pulled a muscle in my leg and have to drag it behind me, quasimodo style
-OH ate all the bread so I can't have toast for breakfast

I periodically get this message when I'm on MSE - nowhere else.

    This site cant be reached
    forums.moneysavingexpert.com is currently unreachable.
    Try:

    Checking the connection
Checking the proxy and the firewall
    ERR_SSL_VERSION_INTERFERENCE

Other programs running at the same time (BBC, Spotify) are not affected ...

I'd rather be eccentric than egocentric

Someone else used my credit card today to ring up about 700-800 in transactions to New Look online and Beales Web.

The card is a joint one with Mrs MbW being an additional cardholder - neither of us have used these sites, I've never heard of the second one until today.

Mrs MbW is in Russia with her mum at the moment and she never shops online - when here, she'll look for stuff online and if she wants to buy it, she asks me to do it for her. Also, she doesn't have internet at the moment either and all transactions were in the UK.

Nationwide texted me and I got it sorted, the transactions are stopped (so some s0d is going to be disappointed) although both cards are cancelled and we'll get replacements in 7-10 working days But they are investigating and could prosecute the offender.

I'm contacting both companies to see if they're going to help Nationwide (as Visa stopped one already).

We haven't received any confirmation emails or any deliveries either, but if anything turns up, I'll have to let the police know as well I'd imagine.

Bought a tub of icecream yesterday and went to make myself a slider this evening only to realise that I don't have any wafers in the house

The big poster of doom is up in our little Waitrose. Closing & becoming a coop in Autumn. Where will our lovely staff go? The other little Waitrose near the rail station's going too & it feels like neighbours you'd trust with your housekeys are moving because the landlords wants to sell.

The staff, bless them, are almost as distressed at loosing us their regulars - I gave 'em a rave review & a week later the store is closing - what did I say wrong?

And where will I get my coffee? I've even got the reusable cup in readiness... Spend money? <shudders>

Found a slug on the landing. First time I've seen one in the house in the 3 months we've been here and haven't a clue how it could have got into an upstairs room.
