Pension transfer - starter 15th Jun 17 at 9:12 PM
Daughter has small pot with Std Life when she did a years work as part of her course - group pension pot.
After uni she worked for about a year with a different company and has pension with aegon - again small pot.
She is now doing a PhD - no pension and only 14k per year stipend - so no money for pension.
Aegon have written to her to say that the pot will be suspended and remain in teh group pension pot, but she can transfer it to a different provider.
She is thinking is it worth transferring to Std Life to have one bigger but still small pot.
If necessary she (me) can then add to it.
Or perhaps look to consolidate in a totally different pension/provider altogether.
My thought is to transfer to Std Life and leave it until her PhD is complete and then look at it then.
    Any thoughts?
