A chargeback get the money from the BANK of the seller and then that bank will attempt to recover the funds from the sellers account, yes the seller could challenge the chargeback and it can be reversed, but so can a section 75 as i am going through a section 75 through capitol one which i got this email from themWe’re pleased to let you know that we’ve claimed a full refund of the transaction from the Merchant. A refund of the amount and any interest or fees charged in relation to the transaction will show on your next statement.
Please be aware, to adhere to regulatory requirements set out by Visa and Mastercard we have to allow the Merchant 45 days to challenge the refund we’ve claimed. Should the Merchant challenge the refund, we may need to contact you again for more information in order to assess your claim further. Because of this, please keep all the paperwork you have in relation to this purchase safe.0 -

Will the Bank agree to refund even though the website purchased from is obviously fake?
I have my doubts..angryparcel wrote: »WRONG i said its the same as a way of getting your money backangryparcel wrote: »you have the Visa and Mastercard chargeback scheme which is just the same as section 75 with a credit card.
Regardless, I don't propose to debate this any further...0 -

That's fine but even when they approach the bank the reason they will have to give is they received the wrong item and the seller has stopped communicating. There is no definite evidence of scam or fraud at this point, despite what we all suspect.
UNLESS...the OP has received a known brand and can prove they are fake, which will likely require the brand having a look and stating that they are fake (or not).
At the moment there is a lot of assumption and hearsay.
OP, what did you order and what did you receive?
I ordered a pair of Fred Perry trainers, size 7.5 & I received a black pair of size 9 shoes that are made by Nunn Bush :-/0 -

Been in touch with Lloyds TSB and they said i have to send the parcel back to China and get a tracking ID reference no. After 15 days if i havent heard anything i would need to get back in touch with Lloyds so they can review the claim.
I told the bank that this is pointless as the address on the label is a false address. Its a digital communications company not a company that sells shoes.
The lady on the phone said I have a very good chance of getting my money back if i do this but im not convinced. The website now looks as though its gone down. Its gonna cost quite a bit to send them back to China as well :-/0 -

The host took the site down as if was a fraudulent site.
Regardless if its a false address, you need to send it back and just shows a tracking ID. A tracking ID would not track all the way to address in china , it would track it as far as the port in leaving the UK, but that is all the bank needs0 -

Wow, you've done your homework.
Actually if the OP finds out the hosting company and explain the sites are illegal they are obliged to take them down. You know what uranium is, right? It's this thing called nuclear weapons. And other things. Like lots of things are done with uranium. Including some bad things.
