The rain has just started here and I expect some strong wind later this afternoon.

Wind arrived at about noon and of course this is bin day in my street so there are wheelie bins galore blown over and rubbish flying about everywhere

Ali arrived last night bring torrential rain and high winds

So of course the power is up and down, out completely in town

The main road looks like a forest walk with so much debris on it, lots of branches down making driving pretty treacherous , one came down out the front of mine, Ive managed to pull it away from the road. Fence has gone and the last I saw of the compost bin was as it flew out the garden - its in the field down the back where it can stay till it calms down a bit

Still we are safe and well. Unlike the poor lass in the caravan that got blown over the side of a cliff in Galway

Just out with the dog and if he had not stopped to sniff at something we would have been struck by a falling tree limb that was twice the size of me

We then got home to find part of my carport roof blown off

I had to catch a ferry in Ali yesterday from Larne to Cairnryan. Glad I was sailing the way I did though.

So much rain this afternoon. When I went to pick up my granddaughter, the playground was flooded and all the kids had to exit via the main entrance. Took 25 minutes while all we poor souls were standing in the pouring rain. You have to identify your child before they let them out but we were all crammed in a narrow space plus all the brollies made it even slower!

    Plus itís still raining now.
