No rain here. Scattered cloud but still very warm on my drive home.

Lovely day here. Not too hot. Sunny and nice cooling breeze.
Went and had a dip in the sea earlier.

Beach we normally use is further away. 20 mins or so drive.
But of course although (or because?) it's there, we hardly ever seem to go.
Mrs. Jmd would like to live right on the coast, but it's pricey, and gets busy in the holiday season.

Trouble with cool and damp in the morning is that when it warms up and dries out there seems to be a heck of a lot more flies about in the evening

I live about as far from the sea as its possible to get. I wish I lived nearer. I went to school by the sea, about 50 yards from the beach and I miss it. I seem to spend a lot of my spare time on boats trying to compensate.

Luckily, Mrs G is a bit of a Boaty McBoatface too so she doesn't mind.

Lived half our lives in the Midlands, about as far away from the sea as you can get.
I did live near the cut when I was a kid!

    It's hot

Currently 26, forecast to be 28 later

The good news is only today and tomorrow to get through then it SHOULD cool down!

Dropped a couple of degrees here. Still very pleasant. Slouched on a bench in the garden looking up at a cloudless sky.

This is what summers are supposed to be like.
