Aspirin, Paracetamol & Caffeine Tablets 23rd Mar 17 at 9:34 AM
Has anyone else noticed that Aspirin, Paracetamol & Caffeine tablets are becoming increasingly hard to buy nowadays - without paying over 2 per pack for genuine Anadin branded ones ?
I have tried Tesco, Asda and Sainsburys - they all used to offer own brand at around 45p - now the only option is genuine Anadin at 2 PLUS !!

The own brand version have been going up in price recently.

Sainsburys now at 80p where 55p, they disappeared for a short period now back in stock.

Asda has them at 55p plenty there when I looked last week.

Co.op at 65p again plenty on the shelves last time I looked the other week.

I get the Superdrug Paracetamol for 45p, they do Asprin for 35p, but quite often the shelf is empty in my store, so I tend to get them when I see them on shelf. Aldi do cheap Paracetamol too

I've also noticed these tablets have started to disappear. I think Waitrose still do them for about 55p, or it was last time I looked.

yes i noticed this I always buy the 20p/25p paracetamol for an elderly gent I visit and last time in Sainsbirys all the 25p ones had vanished and they were all 50p but still in the blue packet which is 20p in Savers.

I asked at the pharmacy and she told me the 25p ones were behind the counter now!!!! ha! So I asked for some and she reached towards an empty shelf and said O'h dear we've run out.

I said O'h I'll g to Waitrose now on then and get a free coffee and cheaper Paracetamol! She was not a happy bunny. It's amazing now that supermarkets are stopping value ranges Waitrose can compete!! I know where I'd rather shop.

Yes! I ended up asking in Morrisons when they stopped doing theirs, and was just told they'd stopped doing them. I get Panadol Extra now, although yes it's over 2 a pack!

Hi, found this whilst searching online to try to find out why I can't find own brand Paracetamol, Aspirin and Caffeine combo tablets. Asda stopped selling them at the beginning of the year, I found the in Waitrose but now they've stopped. Any ideas why, and if there's anywhere I can get cheaper ones than Anadin?

Morrisons are now selling their own brand again, I bought a 16 pack, pretty sure it was less than a quid.

They're called "Pain control extra" and they're in a red box.
