    Closing and re-open Help2buy 16th Mar 17 at 3:52 PM
I opened a help to buy isa last year but didn't use it effectively, ive now got a lump sum that i want to put into the first month of the help to buy. Can i close my current help to buy in this tax year and then open a new 1 in the next tax year to allow me to deposit the 1000 at the start?

    Yes, as per
If I close my account, can I open a new Help to Buy: ISA?
If you hold a Help to Buy: ISA, and close it without claiming your government bonus, you can open a new account in the following tax year (provided the new account is opened before 30 November 2019).
