    Payment A Day Chapter 18 22nd Jan 17 at 3:05 PM
    *The principles of PADding*

Emily Hallett started a fantastic thread called 'a payment a day' which you can find via going to this webpage (sorry it won't work for me right now)

The thread is extremely supportive and friendly, with lots of madness and smileys to boot! It is ever increasing, which is why having hit 200 pages, challenge is continuing on a brand new thread.

The principle of the idea is that you pay any extra money you have against a debt to clear it a little bit quicker. Not everyone makes a daily payment, but instead they save money to make a lump sum at the end of the month. You can do it anyway you want to, but join the thread and let us know how you are getting on.

Some PaD-ers have cleared their debts and are now focusing on saving following the same principal, so they still post on the thread. Anyone is welcome to join in at anytime.

    Best wishes to everyone

    PS. Here are the rules

    *The Rules*

Hi all - coming back to Money Saving after a while away but I think things are getting away from me.

Looking at doing the PAD challenge but still getting my head around it. I have 2 credit cards that definitely need reducing. 4.86 now paid to one which leaves my bank with a nice round balance. Hope this is how its meant to work.

    Welcome back brednall

PAD works however is best for you - it can be a penny if that's what you have available, or just a quick check in even if you can't PAD that day - really keeps motivation up

Back with my own PAD for the day, I have decided to move my expenses payments to my EF, in case anything goes wrong with the car I can use my mileage claims to pay for it.

Morning all, so we decided to buy the kids a swimming pool for 17. We really want to stop spending money we don't have at the weekends when my husband is home, so finding ways to keep occupied at home. Lots of walks to the park as my eldest now rides his bike, and trying to have as many NSDs as we can :-)

I got my rebate, but with my car service due next week, council tax and 75 for my half of a holiday next year to disney, It left us with about 100 :'( But 33.25 onto the credit card today Looking forward to putting more on next week xx
