I've completed 48 items now. Woo hoo.

I didn't sew any trim into the skirt after unpicking some as I just didn't think there was anything I fancied adding. So I've hemmed the skirt instead. It looks good - and I haven't added something for the sake of adding it. I even considered buying some - but don't need more to add to the collection. (Although I do wish I'd added some lace to the inside of the hem).

I have another skirt I was making prior to the demise of the old machine which I would like to finish this weekend. So I think that may be the next project. I'm dead impressed I've got back on the waggon. I've been moaning about a lack of wardrobe for a few weeks now. So this is the way forward.

I hope you've all been busy and enjoying some sun.

Well done, nimbo. I'm glad you are so happy with your skirt. I have plans - but no action - at the moment.

I've finished off another load of dot grid filofax papers. So that counts as another 2.

I do have plans to get that skirt put lasted today. So 50 /500. 10% in four months. So maybe not on target. Haha.

    Well, I'm a dumdum!
Was making a box pouch for DiL's bag. Ot's a lovely leather bag, fairly new and the zip broke. I'm pretty sure my skills/machine are not up to replacing it satisfactorily, so I thought a zipped pouch to pop inside would solve the problem of not having a secure area.

So I made one. It's lovely..... but it's the wrong shape, ie short and fat instead of tall and thin, with the zip at right angles to how it should be lol. I'll make another and I'll post pics of both. I really should have realised sooner ..... doh!

Sorry you'd gotten so far - cannot be repurposed - or will you have to start again?

Today I've whipped up a 5 inch jelly roll. All of the sewing of patches is complete. I have chosen from stash a yard of fabric to back the tiny quilt - but I will need to buy some wadding as well as some bias binding. I'm counting one for the jelly roll - and will count the other bits as I compete the quilt.

I've also cut out a denim journal cover made form an old pair of jeans. I haven't finished if yet as I don't know how I want to decorate it. One to add to the total isn't too bad.

    51 / 500.

nimbo, I'm in awe of your crafty output!

I made the other zip bag. It'll do. It looks like a taller make up bag. She'll be able to lift it out and transfer to another bag - if it fits.

Here are my creations. I'll find some use for 'stubby', so counting 2.

    52 / 500

I have quilted my quilt. Ow. Somused up the backing fabric. I did buy wadding. But don't feel bad at all about that as I have used up other stuff I do need to edge it. Which will again require a purchase. But I'm going to do it as economically as I can.

It's super simple - but I'm really pleased with how it has turned out so far.

I've been shopping again. Bought half a metre of fabric to bind the quilt. It's finished!!!!!!

No idea what I'm going to do with it. But hey.

I've sewn another jelly roll. 53 / 500. It's Christmas fabric. I will again need to get some wadding but I'll need some backing fabric too this time. I haven't even ironed it yet. But it's getting there.

I need to try to dig out an embroidery hoop. I know I have one. Just not sure where it is. I have some scraps I'm hoping to use for some simple embroidery. It's kind of feeling like a small dent on the ocean. I'm struggling as I don't want to decorate this house. So have no where to put the things - but we're saving really slowly for a house deposit so i suppose I shall save them all in a box to decorate my mythical house when we get one...

6 cards made - some are still to get sentiments added; it depends who they're for and why. The one with "Welcome Baby" is for grandparents.

I am still not making any impression on my stash - in fact, I have to confess it has grown again! Oooops!
