Bankruptcy and maintenance 17th Oct 16 at 8:36 AM
Hi all, I have a question on maintenance payments I hope someone can help with, I'm not sure how it works, and as usual my situation is rather unique

I am separated from my wife and 3 kids, who I have every other weekend- we have a very vague arrangement in regard to maintenance, as I am not working full-time due to depression, although I am hoping that will change quite soon. So I kind of give her what I can whenever, sometimes from random earnings (I do the odd piece of consultancy) - my family help out too, as do hers.

How is this all handled in bankruptcy with the OR? as is say I am hoping to be in full-time employment soon. How much can I realistically offer to pay, I have a moral obligation to pay as much of the costs as possible, if I can- I really have no idea how this all works. Help!

I think the OR needs a formal maintenance order but probably best to as the OR.
The is a CSA calculator online somewhere so you could get an idea of what someone working full time would/should/could be paying.
