    Just been onto tax credits to let them know about my oayrise to find that they think im being paid more by my work than I actually am, 712 more, and that's without the pay rise, am I being dealt a hard blow or does someone owe me money???

    Could just be an inflated estimated they have (which they sometimes do if you don't report your own estimate). Just tell them what you expect to earn.
